So...this Charlie character on "Knights" of Mayhem says everyone knows his name.....I want to disprove this!
SO....REAL Knights excluded.....who ACTUALLY knew who he was BEFORE this show?
I certainly did not know his name. But now that I know it, I'll be happy to provide raspberries whenever I see him perform his feats of superhuman ego.
Nope, don't know him.
Gina
never heard of him
We saw him at Sherwood Forest Faire last spring.
Never heard of him, and I played around a bit with the Seattle Knights and have been working ren faires and following jousting (granted, mostly in Europe) for 20 years
I knew of him due to his alleged resume. >:(
Charlie who?
Charlie? I didn't know there was a Charlie.
Never heard of him
Never heard of him,who's Charlie?
Never heard of him. He may have been (and/or still is) a very obscure member of a team somewhere at sometime.
Seems to be at odds with his press, don't you think?
I was able to find a link to an article about him in Renaissance Magazine:

Never heard of him before the show.
Nope...

the fake Navy SEAL thing, or something else on top of that?
Currently, just the fake Navy Seal thing I'm aware of.
Nope.
In the words of Texas Ranger in Talladega Nights: Someone didn't love you enough when you were little, did they?
Yeah the whole fake Navy SEAL thing so not cool in my book...*FAIL*
Before the show? NADA.
I thought he was on Jersey Shore but that must been a different idiot. So no I never heard of him before the show
I thought he got fired from "2 and 1/2 Men" but now I find out it is someother low life A**hole. Never hope to hear from him again.
I saw him at the joust at Sherwood but didn't know his name till the show and thought he was a jerk at Sherwood with his whole this isn't a show scam. Sorry if its not a show then I don't need to put anything in the jar do I.
You guys crack me up! :D I'm thoroughly amused at a lot of the responses :D
I didn't THINK everyone knew who he was because....hellooo I'm a squire and I didn't know who he was....
Better find out which village is missing their idiot and have him returned....
nope, just the guys from Noble Cause.
I hope his mother smacks him silly for being such an arse on tv
Thanksgiving dinner at his house...... Mom pass the potatoes.... <<<<WHACK>>>> OW! Mom! What was that for? For being an arsehole on TV arsehole!
I always thought it was the really insecure ones that needed to try and be so tough. I would prefer any of the other knights over Charlie. ::)
I saw we all take scrap pieces of black fabric and wave them en masse during the show.
We arent supposed to throw rotten eggs or tomatoes or something?
No...we're supporting the black knight 'cause he's really the good guy.
Yes, for supporting the black knight. I meant the refuse for Charlie. ;D
LOL. Go for it. I don't have any rotten veggies.
I am sure I could FIND some! :D For a good cause and all of that.
What's this about him being MIA?
Never heard of him but I do know Brian and DJ from MIRF
Poor Charlie, Poor, Poor misunderstood Charlie.. I knew of him long before the show. He and Shane Adams of the Knights of Valor were partners. Charlie and Knights of Mayhem would do faires in the western half of the country and Shane would do the eastern half. Then there came a time when they had to get together to do some shows in the south. I worked with Charlie in a few GCRF events. We also worked together in that abortion that was held for one weekend in Sarasota. I think alot of you are taking to much of what is being shown to heart. Don't forget that this is a sort of reality show kind of thing. If this was for real and in earnest somebody would surely have gotten knocked in their arses. Most people would not bother watching it if it were are all nice and lovey-dovey. Sort of like the old Boyd Coddington show or the father/son
biker show. It's for television, not for real.
The BLAKDUKE
His stolen valor issue is well-documented, and existed prior to this program, and he has a long history of such behavior, so he's got a lot of damning issues that existed well before the show.

His stolen valor issue is well-documented, and existed prior to this program.
Please explain................
He has claimed on numerous occasions, including in his press kit that he sent to various media agencies who were interviewing him such as the New York Times (http://www.nytimes.com/2010/07/11/magazine/11Jousting-t.html?_r=1) and ESPN, that he was a Navy SEAL during Desert Storm, served in Mogadishu and was involved as part of a "black ops" team in the "Blackhawk Down" incident, and so on. The problem is, according to his own military records (http://www.pownetwork.org/pownet.secure/mason_robert_charles_andrews_2.pdf) gained by FOIA, and information provided by researchers into Stolen Valor incidents (http://www.pownetwork.org/phonies/phonies1142.htm) (including former SEAL Team One member Steve Robinson and SEAL Team Two member Don Shipley, who specialize in exposing frauds), he never completed BUD/S nor was he ever a member of any SEAL team at all. He spent 4 years on active duty with the Navy, and 4 in the Navy Reserve, and the only school he completed was Equipment Operator Class "A" School. The units to which he was assigned according to the FOIA records released were not SEAL units, or units to which a SEAL MOS would ever be assigned.
I have already had run-ins with some of his supporters who try the whole "You don't know the real story, he was Black Ops, they scrubbed his record" crap. I have security clearances through both DoS and DoD, trust me, even the secret squirrel guys have paper trails that ping on a FOIA, even if it is a document so heavily redacted that it's all black ink. I know a BS artist when I see one, and he most definitely is one. He has neither the disciplined temperament nor the professional bearing of a military professional, much less a SEAL. He strikes me as a puffed-up blowhard bully, and the documentation refutes his macho claims. He has recently backtracked, saying he has never claimed to have been a SEAL, despite the paper trail he has already left, so the man has no honour in my eyes.
I've seen him in relation to jousting stuff, and at Sherwood Forest Faire last season. Never knew his name.
He seems to have a lot of 'input' in the TV show, so that rather than being a doucumetary style show as one would expect from the National Geographic channel, it's mostly about Charlie and his ego.
So it is, as BLAKDUKE implied, 'just a TV show' like Orange county choppers. Looking at it that way, since most folks in the motorcycle industry view the OCC guys as pretty much "total clown shoes" as the kids say, it's not surpising that most rennies see this piss artist the same way.
Breandan, you reminded me of a CIA report I saw back in 1980 something. ========= agent was involved in incident in =============that included =========== and later that same day the same agent was interviewed by agency monitor========.
