Title: A Castleteer Battle Cry
Post by: Imestra on June 25, 2008, 11:27:08 AM
OK, I have one;
One for Ale, and All for Rum!
Or, how about;
Castleteers, to the Rum! (or mead, or wall, or make one up)
As an official Castleteer Sister, shall I call for a vote?

I'll have to hear the story, then, but does it inspire on the field of battle?

I'd prefer one without alcohol references, but that's me.  As to what it should be, I'm not sure.  Yeah, Castleteer parties all seem to end with everyone drunk except me (which is fine, I enjoy being sober), but being a Castleteer is more then just ale.  It's about friends, our little castle family, the majesty of Harry Andrew's creation, good food, good drink, good times.

But, again, that's my take on it.  Doubt anyone else will agree.  It's more or less a drinking party anymore anyways.  :/

Have to say I agree, Poof.  I too would prefer a non-alcoholic reference.  Our gatherings have definitely morphed into something completely different than when they began......not a bad thing, just different.

hey all

hmmmm interesting, a curious thread

first of all, "not in the face" simply makes no sense at all, so it is out

being the "instigator" of these gatherings, i  dont really see a change in our gathering, not counting the cauldren of ultimate potluck lol to me it is like any other dinner party except everyone is dressed funny. one thing though, we have more synergy lately, more people that simply enjoy hanging out and letting loose.....thank you to the state of kentucky, i guess :)

i think tinker deserves a special pin, he has earned it, thru his work and simply his giving of himself. but what a pin it needs to be, so ponderous that it would overwhelm poor tinks frame. he deserves it though. AND dont forget how he organises half the country for ren type gatherings in general. tink is the ultimate castleteer  HUZZAH!

as for a battle cry, one that doesnt mention drink. how about using the kogts existing saying "long live harry's dream!"

humble thoughts of a despised man

btw the castleteers are known and loved within our little organization. you all have only seen a very few of our people, but your respect for the castle and you dedicated attendance has already become legend. tinker and belle are known by all of our members lol sir james and deckyon and peter are also frequently mention is bs sessions (not just by me, and mind you, 99% of these people have never met you all, but they do know you :) ) spirit is spoken of only in reverent tones. this list is too huge. just know you ALL are loved and appreciated

"Not in the Face" made sense the night Neophyte came up with it... You don't remember that? It got quite the laugh and you were leading the pack with hearty guffaws...
