Title: Question about TRF tickets
Post by: Sir Edward on September 01, 2012, 10:00:57 AM
I have a friend that is planning o purchasing a bunch of tickets for TRF. He is planning on using them over the course of the time that TRF is open. The question I have is can we do that or do we need to buy tickets each weekend before we come up?

Tickets are not weekend specific.  With the exception of opening weekend discount tickets.

Really! So opening weekend discount tickets are the only ones. Ok I'll pass on the info. Thanks

Looking the TRF website, the discounted tickets bought ahead of time are not weekend specific except opening weekend.  But they ARE day specific.  Saturday tickets are $20 and Sunday tickets are $17.

You may want to contact the powers that be.  I think I kind of recall they suggested to someone that they should swing by the TRF office during work hours in order to redeem the tickets, as the gate security can only check and sell tickets, and nothing more.
I recommend you post your question on the TRF FB page, as they are pretty quick to responding... then come and post the answer for other to see!   Hope this helped.

I believe the confirmation paper for your will call tickets will suffice, but it is always better to get that answer directly from the TRF staff.  You can always call their office too.

We have bought the tickets from TRF and only had the printed paper and they approved them no problem, but that was not from a discount page. I would double check everything just to be on the safe side.

I can't remember where I read it at, but it was posted this year.  Either here or FB.  BUT TRF did state that the receipt for your tickets that you have to pick up at Will Call will allow you in the gate without having to buy new tickets.

Now that you mention it, I think that was a quote from Terre himself

I thought I had remembered reading that too. Just wanted to make sure, cause I have them too.

Aye, KP, you were right.  Been looking for that silly thing and couldn't find it til you pointed the way. ;)

I bumped the thread so it percolated up on list - it's the one "Start Watching for Ticket Deals."

Terre is quoted in my new post on that thread.
