Title: Experiences with "Pooch Paddock"?
Post by: Hercules on September 30, 2012, 08:53:34 AM
Have a friend who is considering bringing her small Schnauzer (15 to 20lbs maybe). They are extremely particular about caring for their pet and just wanted some insight into TRF's pooch paddock. So if anyone has any first hand experience please share. Or PM me whichever.

Thanks in advance for any help!  ;D

Did anyone ever have any information on this?  We have a little furry one we aren't sure we will have a sitter for the particular weekend we get to go.  Thanks for the help when given!

Lady Alecia, so far all I've gotten is "It looks nice". But no one has any first hand experience to share. However the folks I've been asking have been vendors and they have their own pet-care and don't need the PP.

Not only that, but the rules specifically state that campers are not allowed to bring pets or use the PP.  So that removes many of the participants on this forum )o:

We're gonna give it a try this weekend, so I'll let everyone know how it goes. The owner is nice on the phone and very responsive to questions.

We'll give the Pooch Paddock a huge thumbs up  ;D!!!!!

Our pup seemed to have a blast and was good and tired out when we picked her up on both days. The only downside is the hours they keep. They don't open until right at 9:00am and then close at 6:30pm, so opening cannon is tough and you can't stay late, which we really missed. They can take pets early on special request but they don't want to deal with anyone's dogs during the fireworks, which is understandable.

The lady who runs it is great and even sent us videos ,during the day, of our little Bailey going crazy with some of the other dogs.

If you have a dog and can work with the hours we definitely recommend them.

Thought I'd update this in case anyone checks.

I checked out the doggie day-care and was impressed with them. Clean and organized.

Sadly, however, I'm told by the owner that the weekend of Oct. 27th and 28th will be their last weekend there. And due to people making reservations but not keeping them they will NOT take any further reservations. They will honor reservations already made though. Just FYI.
