My shoe webstore is now open! http://www.thecordwainersapprentice.com (http://www.thecordwainersapprentice.com)
Currently I have a small selection of commercial medieval/renaissance footwear, but hope to add handmade items soon. I'm a long way from having the skill (and the time!) to create my own footwear, so I'm trying to find other shoemakers to stock the site. If you make period shoes, or know anyone who does, please contact me! Although the site also offers steampunk and modern footwear, my heart is in the medieval/renaissance wear.
The commercial period footwear I offer is of the more rustic variety, so it's more authentic (but not authentic!) and less pricey than much of what's out there. Please stop by for a look!
My stock on hand is small as this is more of a hobby than a business. The supplier of the period shoes that I now have is closing out the entire line so I can't get any more, except for this one http://thecordwainersapprentice.onlybusiness.com/OnlineCatalog/Women_s_Medieval_boots_in_black-details.aspx (http://thecordwainersapprentice.onlybusiness.com/OnlineCatalog/Women_s_Medieval_boots_in_black-details.aspx) (http://www.pleaserusa.com/pic/RENAISSANCE-120Blk.jpg) which I can still get in women's sizes 6, 7, 10, and 11 in black but in very limited quantities. Please contact me ASAP if you want some of those! If you're buying 5 or more pairs I can offer a discount.
If I don't have what you're looking for, please try my newly launched Shoe Concierge service where I do the searching for you. See the website for details.
