Title: TRF meet and greet (and why do I keep missing it)
Post by: xed on November 26, 2012, 03:30:21 PM
Looks like I missed everyone again this year.  I was under the impression that the meet and greet was at the coffee patio near the entrance, at the time of the parade.  I rushed in that direction twice last weekend while the parade was going on, and didn't see anyone?

Well you were close.  I believe they were meeting just next door.  I never was able to make it either this weekend.  We were hosting faire virgins and our trek never did put us near the M&G at parade time.

Indulgences is around the corner from the coffee patio. Look for the big purple umbrellas.

We missed it a lot this season as well so don't feel bad lol.  It was good to see you and Michelle at camp though!

I did chuckle to myself when I saw this thread/topic. Back in the old days when I used to go to TRF, a similar question was asked of me when the R/F Meet n' Greet was at the Prince of Wales pub following Parade...

It took me several attempts to figure out why I kept being late or missing it - then one day it dawned on me! I was at the Chainmaille Show! OPA! It always took place just after Parade passed through that part of the Shire. LOL!

Big purple umbrellas?  Arent there big purple umbrellas on the patio?  lol
Well, now I know for next year.  ::)

I definately missed the M/G at least once due to the chainmaille show, but we always made an effort if we were nearby while the parade was happening to go and see if anyone was there.

Good to see you as well, Bonnie!  It was definitely one hell of a weekend.  Easily one of the best I've had there.
