This post is to put forward the Bay Area Renaissance Festival in Tampa Florida for consideration to host the 2014 Rendevoux.....
The Team of Lairde Guardn, Seamus, Pinky, Garris McDaniels, Esparanza, Paul Raab, and Candy and a few others are all working together to make this come about.
We are putting forward, St Patrick's Day Weekend in March of 2014, and since it is so early in the year, we are requesting an early selection for 2014 Rendevoux, since we would like to have at least 8 months to be able to prepare for such a prestigious event.

We have worked out a preliminary contract with The Clarion Hotel. We have a block of rooms at the amazing price of $59+tax. It comes to $66.08 a night. This includes two double beds, a microwave, refrigerator, coffee machine, hairdryer, ironing board, swimming pool, FULL breakfast (for those that wish to sleep in and skip the tailgate) and is right down the road from BARF. Shuttle service is NOT included, but it is less than a five minute drive on the same road. We even visited a room to ensure it was clean and free of bed bugs. It is a beautiful hotel, very clean, and the pool is gorgeous.

SCHEDULE THE FAMILY VACATION TO INCLUDE RENDEVOUZ
Plan to come early or stay later, visit the many vacation resorts, Busch Gardens, Universal Studios, Space Center, Disneyworld.....Air boat in the everglades, walk the beach, take a swim in the gulf or the atlantic, enjoy one of the many Dinner Theaters. ..... and so much more.
And the fact that a number of other Rennie Groups already gather at BARF each spring for their Annual Gatherings and Invasions and many members of these groups are also RF members.... Bringing the Rendavouz to BARF in 2014 could easily become the largest gathering of RFers we have ever had.

Seriously, considering the process, for earlier faires to have a chance, this is a good thing to begin the nominations now. Considering that there was some illness in the ranks that delayed the 2013 decision, it might be a wise choice to begin the 2014 process much earlier than we did the 2013. Just a thought...

I Bid a faire for 2014 (In Private Message) knowing that the faire I'd suggested takes place in Feb/Mar (Feb/Presidents 3 Day Weekend) and there are members of this particular Faire ready to make a bid for RenDezVous 2014.

Lairde Guardn had messaged me previous to this, and up to this point it's been easier to communicate via PM as to not get any hopes up just because something was posted publicly. That being said, if people want to post publicly now, I'm not against it. There are several faires in the running for next year already.
