Title: Ashville Viking Festival in Ohio
Post by: Lord Clisto of York on March 21, 2013, 03:08:37 AM
This event is their 10th anniversary in Ashville Ohio.  The Viking fest runs one weekend  April 27 and 28, 10am to 5pm. The Viking ship "The Norseman" will also be there again this year on display at the festival. It is a great event with vendors you will not see usually anywhere else, music, good food and historical reenactors from many different periods as well. Although Vikings dominate it, you can go down time line alley and visit all the other encampments. I will be going to this event and will be setting up in the historical area with a display from the crusades as King Richard I.

Here is their website - http://www.ashvillevikingfest.com/ (http://www.ashvillevikingfest.com/)

Too far for me, but I love these little not-for-profit and charity events.

All of the Celtic games we do are free admission-The only folks paying anything are the vendors, clan tents, and athletes

Yes they are great and no politics as well as vendors you dont see anywhere else because they dont want to deal with all the corp stuff and costs. Lots of unique items are really good prices.
