Once again we had a great time the Company was great the faire grounds were beautiful and the weather was just right. Were there any non-garbed, normal, PAYtrons there? I've skimmed through a lot of these pics, which are great, but other than the serious rennies, it looks like a ghost town.
Yes, they were there, although it was a slower than usual weekend because of the holiday. Also, a lot of the pictures posted were taken early in the morning, which was relatively quiet - except for the R/Fers which is another story ;). The crowds didn't start picking up until afternoon.

It was an odd weekend due to the holiday.
The morning was mainly the die hards with a few normal patrons.
By around noon the place was actually pretty packed.
But by 4 things had cleared out a lot again.

We try as best as we can to not get non-garbed people in our pics, it just makes the pictures look more authentic. ;D

Yes, as usual, Morwyn can and I can be counted on to shop! And there's nothing wrong with getting a head start in the parking lot. Although, I think Morwyn bought out all the bovine from the alpaca man...

I agree Morwyn, the shopping was great! Good thing I am not at another Faire until the end of the month now...I definately blew my budget...but how can one resist after such a long wait? ;D

My last set of pictures, closing weekend. We had a suprise visit from Scotsman and Lady Guinness. It was great to see you again. Faire just went by too fast this year.
This weekend brought back Owain Phyfe and introduced some of us to Terry Griffith. The wooing contest was fun to watch and I think I got more pics of the cast in the streets than I have in the past. Despite the rain on Sunday, I had a wonderful time this year.

I took over 2000 this year and posted the ones I thought were the best or that most people would enjoy seeing.
This season seemed to come to an end much too quickly. I had a great time every day and I am already missing it. I still plan on attending 4 or 5 more faires this year, but none of them compare to our home here in Avaloch.

I thought it didn't quite look right for a bird, but my daughter insisted.
Hubby told me the same thing...but it sure looked like the hummingbird when it was in motion! Either way, it was an awesome shot! Been kind of quiet on here since end of season....we are missing all of you....come on over to our side of the line and visit...opening day tomorrow!
On the way there, we were stopped in traffic on the I-90, and we suddenly saw a hummingbird on the edge of the grass. When it ended up landing, we realized it obviously wasn't a hummingbird, but had no idea what it was! lol, thank you. They look kind of creepy close-up.
