Good morning,
Just wanted to let everybody know that this event has been organized and is posted here:
https://www.facebook.com/messages/#!/events/209482242508855/ (https://www.facebook.com/messages/#!/events/209482242508855/)
It will be July 26 from 4 til whenever at the Baker Street Pub in Willowbrook. We figured this would allow for people from West and North Houston to join. Happy hour specials are from 4pm-9 and TRF should be providing appetizers and finger foods! As well as prizes (tickets, koozies, etc). I hope they have some camping passes as well!! Brigadoon Brewery will also be present.
The area reserved for us is next to the stage sooo... would anyone like to take their drums, pipes, etc? I'm sure we could take over the stage and make a drum circle, maybe some gypsy dancing?
Those of you who went to last year's TRF events know it gets fun, not because it's TRF, but because it provides for a venue to meet others who you would generally not.
Cheers!!
Aww I'll miss it, I won't be back down until the move :( I haz a sad now
Riot,
hopefully if we have a big turn out we can push to have another one or 2 before the Opening Weekend. Alan from Brigadoon and I discussed having one at Lonestar Brewing Co and I would love to invite ourselves to Brigadoon Brewery itself!! No Label welcomed us very well last year even providing discounts if we came in garb!!
Opening weekend just around the bend!! ;D

Yeah I made it to the pub crawl last year that started at No Label, it was awesome out there!
StudMuffin and I are going to do our best to attend this one at Willowbrook. We went to the Sugarland Pub crawl last year and had a great time. Even if I threw the Elf Wizard Giant game...
Keeper! It would be great to see you and StudMuffin out there! No steps other than the curb this time. And yes, hopefully we can come up with some games that are more Rennie and less frat house. Suggestions welcome, or just come over and share them with us! At the Kemah "Meet the King," he wanted to hear jokes, needless to say I failed him with my "So this guy walks into a bar" joke which I think it's hilarious.
Riot, yes, No Label was quite a blast! Although pretty hot, this time it will be indoors, except for the smoking area.
Hmmmmmm....Sounds like fun. Wife will be in FW that evening. May just have to make it. Didn't even know there was a Baker Street Pub at Willowbrook.
IT's OFFICIAL!!

Might actually make it out there since a good friend of mine is a bartender there and so now she's going.

Best get busy! Friday will be here before we know it! :)
Baker Street Willowbrook had St. Arnold's Divine last night... hope they have some left come Friday at 3pm-ish.
I won't be able to make it, but this sounds like a lot of fun. I hope one or two of you take some pics to share with the rest of us.

:( You will be missed!
Sorry to hear, Sir Martin, I would love to meet the lot of you prior to season since it becomes hectic during. Hopefully there will be more opportunities in the future, however there may not be too many with Opening Weekend just around the corner (eeeek!!).
I'll be there... What time and for how long has yet TBD. I have to work the next day and 4am comes early.
Ah! I look forward to seeing you there. I will probably be arriving at 330ish, and leaving... we'll see.
At least it's only a couple of minutes from my place. 8)
Anyone else having the, well what am I going to wear moment?

I couldn't have said it better. The gathering was a little bit of Faire. Hope it holds for 77 more days, till the gates open.
Thank you, Your Majesty, for having this happpy hour. It was truly successful and great to see so many friends, new and old.
I'm glad you came last night, keeper... You were missed last season!
Had a great time. It was good to see everyone. I really wanted to stow away in Lisa's suitcase headed for the Caymnen's... :)
Had a fun time out at Baker's Street. Good to see some familiar faces outside of faire. Can't wait for the next event.
@Bonny. Lisa is already posting NEENER NEENER photos of their vacation.
Bryan, I saw and am super jealous!! ;D :'( ;D
Alan from Brigadoon Brewery had mentioned previously that his friends at Southern Star (South of Conroe) would love to have us over. He was going to check with them as Aug 17th had a good ring to it.
Any thoughts or comments on this? I would love to have us out to Clear Lake or nearby as well for our South/South East Houston counterparts.
I told Alan and some others, if it wont be a TRF sponsored event, nothing is holding us back from owning the event ourselves.
FYI-Sherwood group beach invasion at Surfside is that weekend. I know a lot of people are already set on attending that (myself included) as it is organized way in advance.
Whoops, for some reason I was thinking that was the weekend of the 24th (also invited and planning on going)...
So should we set next TRF pre-season get together for early September?
I say just pick a date and they will come lol :)
Southern Star is open to the public almost every Saturday from 1-3pm. Great beer on tap, and they always have a gourmet food truck in the lot. Some seating is available, but for a group I would recommend bringing some chairs.

'Twas loverly to finally meet some of you grand folks! While I was too late for the King and a number of other "persons of import", did have great conversations with Hector, Keeper, and Fraser. A pleasure to have finally met each of you. Looking forward to some faire time.
Hear, hear!!
