Let's see if I can fast walk a few miles by then before I think about running.

I'm SOOOOOOO out of shape.

Round is a shape right?

Totally want to do this!  Do people get into their garb after the run? It would feel weird being their in normal clothes!

This might sound silly, but what is a mud run?  ???

It's a track and field event where the competitors run long distances and often must run thru mud pits, bogs and generally get filthy. Great fun. There are also paint runs where competitors are sprayed with brightly colored paints at different points. Think paintball sort of.

Considering the people that put it on probably have no idea how much a nice costume is I suspect it's during. If you have some old peasant garb I would wear that and running shoes during the race and only change into finer clothing after a shower.

Seriously, I'm wearing an average of $500 worth of garb at the Faire.  There's no way I'm getting that stuff dirty!  Do people just change into it after and party?

This is the first TRF Mud Run. No traditions yet but one would assume that it will be similar to other Mud Runs in the real world. I.e. don't wear anything that you don't want destroyed. Just because it's hosted by the faire doesn't mean it actually is faire.

You can dress however you want and please don't wear anything expensive.  This is a fun run, not competitive.  It is a run through the festival and campgrounds.  If you want to dress, and many will, wear something cheap that can be thrown away afterwards.

I think the mud run went well. I worked at the finish line awarding the finishers thier leather wrist bands and congradulating them on completing the course. From the response they all enjoyed it and cant wait for another one. Even enjoyed a tasty turkey leg. I got to spend 3 nights 2 days in the kingdom and they even fired up the bon fire saturday night. Seem a little strange without all the shops and performers. But it was nice being back

other than us working the event i would say that about 15% of the runners had some sort of garb. there was a few running in full garb.
