I want to make a small, detachable ruff for my outfit to wear with a partlet. What kind of partlet works best for this? Recommendations for patterns would be welcome.
Collarless?
Small (maybe 1-2") , stand up, plain collar?
I have a couple of partlets, but the ruffs/ ruffles are built in.
I see in a few portraits that some nobles had no issue with adding a detachable ruff directly below the shirt/partlet ruffle..Has anyone done this?
I am going with the basic MA partlet, in linen, sans neck ruff.
