Hello all,
A while ago you folks gave some fantastic info for helping Amy step up her design efforts. Not only did the hoop make the huge difference on how her outfit looked she is applying more of those tips on her new dress, a grey and purple.
Now that she is leaving me even farther behind... I was talking to he about picking up a Chain of Office and she said I really have to step it up if I'm going to wear such an accessory. So looking for ideas and tips for a kilt wearing member -

First one I think is the boots. Need to upgrade from the 15+ year old calf moccasins. I can feel every pebble.
Thanks,
Jim
I'd go with a much fuller kilt. The modern kilt - as in the picture- is a far cry from the early 17th Century Great Kilts that were worn. For more info, check out http://historicgames.com/Scottishstuff/scotsattire.html (http://historicgames.com/Scottishstuff/scotsattire.html)
Also, a jerkin of soft leather, pinked or a doublet of velvet with more rich trims would help as well. I'm thinking something like http://archive.museumoflondon.org.uk/medieval/objects/record.htm?type=object&id=118831 (http://archive.museumoflondon.org.uk/medieval/objects/record.htm?type=object&id=118831) or http://www.metmuseum.org/collection/the-collection-online/search/83202 (http://www.metmuseum.org/collection/the-collection-online/search/83202). Both would look good with the fuller kilt.
