Title: Blogs or collections of Men's Garb?
Post by: gypsylakat on October 02, 2014, 08:46:17 AM
Anyone know any good garb resources for dudes? Blogs? Photo Galleries? I always feel they get the short end of the stick when it comes to dressing up unless they're doing completely HA or are wearing nobles.
Women's fairwear has a TON of options- seems to me like men might be settling for "shirt and pants" or "Leather"

Or great kilts with nice linen shirts.  :-)

Just type in men's garb on pinterest - there are TONS of links to at least good ideas if not blogs for men's garb there.

The ELIZABETHAN COSTUME group on Facebook has many talented people as members who post a number of links and photos of men in garb from various classes.

Late chiming in:

http://garb4guys.blogspot.com/ (http://garb4guys.blogspot.com/) Scott has some great doublet diaries and his leather slashed jerkin is something I covet.

http://www.themodernmaker.net/ (http://www.themodernmaker.net/) Mathew is more active on fb but does post construction shots. Kickstarted book should be out soon.

http://www.danrosenart.com/historical-interpretation.html (http://www.danrosenart.com/historical-interpretation.html) Daniel has a nice gallery of HA interpretations.

There are a few more I can thing of, but I'll have to see if I can dig them up in the internet archive.

If you're interested in Italian 16th century, I put up two galleries;

Extant clothes:
