Some fellows are having a contest to determine which pirate image they will put on a deck of playing cards that will be sold at Ren Fests. One of the TRF pirates, Joe Lanier, is entered in this contest. Please support one of our TRF Performance Company members. Joe performs at the Sea Devil Pub with the Pride O' Bedlam, and his stage name is Blackhart.

The contest has ended, and after the original 67 entrants were narrowed down to a field of 15, Joe finished in 2nd place. The good news is that the guys holding the contest decided that the contest was so close that they are including Joe and also the top female contestant in the next deck of pirate playing cards they are producing. The photos will be used by an artist who will draw the characters and include a background that looks more piratey. The deck will not be ready in time for TRF, but should be on sale in December or January. Congrats to Joe!
