I don't know about anyone else, but I'm really starting to get excited about PRF. I know there's going to be several changes, but I have a feeling that it's going to be a really good year. It's going to be so good to be "home" with all my Rennie family.
Yes, absolutely! After our most recent rehearsal, with the quality of street cast we have this year, I'm very excited about this year. I've never been to a faire with a street cast as good as ours, and we just keep getting better and better. As the Countess hinted already, I can say there may be a surprise or two among the cast, but I'll not spoil the fun by elaborating here. It's going to be great!

Me! Me! (raising hand and jumping up and down) I can't wait either. I am anticipating the thrill of walking up on the parapet for Opening Gate and looking down to see my friends. It will be a great year, some will be missing, some are added. We will miss those wo couldn't play with us for one reason or another but will embrace those who are new. And I know people will like the surprises and changes. I have seen the preview and WOW!
Well, Terry is packed and nearly ready to head out. He is looking forward to seeing people at the GLMF over the weekend.

Oh, Mistress Charlotte! I was really hoping you would be back! ;D I can't wait to see you again. Hope we get another chance for a good long chat like we did last year, I had so much fun. Will you be in the same area?
Same bat time, same bat channel!! hehe. I certainly hope Mumsies hosts another renstock. It was the only "real" time I got to visit with people.
Hint taken Charlotte, I will see what we can do about that. Looking forward to being back in the shire! Be seeing you all soon.

No pressure though!! :-*
Passed your booth today, Mistress Charlotte, and thought about seeing you there in about 12 days! I can't believe it is nearly the opening. So many neat new buildings! I ca't wait to see it all finished up.
I'm so excited, I can't stand it! My camera and I are ready and waiting!! Next Saturday can't come soon enough!!!
:) I'll be there with bells on. Though I can't stay all day the first day, I'm working at Hot House that night.
Yup ... we are looking forward to our annual visit to your shire ...
As Broone would say, "My nipples are erect with excitement".
Yes, but you need the picture to match....

"Happy as a little girl" (Austin Powers)
Looking forward, cautiously optimistic of course, but with an open mind and not with out a bit of excitement.
See you all next weekend!!
Three more Days! Are you ready? Garb picked out?
I am not debuting anything new, but I may still have a few combo's no one has seen yet...
Are the coolers packed? Exact change ready for the turn pike? Going to get my BOGO's at Wendy's tomorrow...
Heard from Meredith. She is getting the pub ready for us, so We can not let her down....
See you on Saturday
I know Rick and I are really excited and looking forward to seeing our Renn family and friends. We're also looking forward to all the new and exciting changes...after all you change or die....so I'll take change. With all our friends and the fun entertainment how could we help but have a wonderfull time.
I'll be there, too! ;D ~Look for me at Morgan's Bounty~

Anne, how long does it take you to get there, once you cross the border? I'm trying to see if this one is closer for me, than the Ohio one....

wich area of the Border OH or MD? Anne & I both live aprox 1 hour &1/2 away from the faire, its actually a litle closer for Anne since she is a bit south of me.
SO, Brad & I will be in for opening day, some of you we got to meet at Winter Renstock but we havent really met any of you at "faire" Is there a secret handshake or anything we need to know about.... Or do we just come to the Pub and pounce on anyone who looks vaugely familiar?
Come to the pub and pounce! You are sure to find yourself among friends! Looking forward to catching up with everyone soon!
Pouncing is good but wear your R/F pin and other forum people will approach you. I haven't seen any mention of the pins this season but everyone should wear theirs and you will have immediate friends.

Lady Caroline, if you're on the turnpike, it will take less than 90 minutes. You take exit 75, then it's only 6 miles on I-70. That's 81 miles.
You can use Google maps for this address:
112 Renaissance Lane
West Newton, PA 15089

I dont have an R/F Pin yet!!!!....I knew there was somethgin I was supposed to do before opening.......so Pouncing it will have to be!
I plan to go this saturday (bringing my friend Mark), the weekend of september 6th/7th (bringing my boyfriend for the romance theme), and one of the days of the closing weekend (my other friend, Paul...i'm going to start a tradition of going with him on the last weekend).
Ok, now I'm getting excited! I have my garb selected and will be debuting all new pieces, lest the accessories. Getting the cooler ready, the ren-mobile gassed up, etc. Tomorrow will be a flurry of activity with my preparations. Then, a Tylenol PM to help me sleep. Otherwise, I'd be too excited to sleep at all!
See you all soon!!!

I'm actually about 1 1/2 - 2 hours away, depending on the traffic. No borders for me to cross - I live in western PA. It takes me a little longer than that (20 - 40 min., again depending on the traffic) to get to GLMF.

Don't feel bad. I don't have my RF pin yet either. It's on the to-do list, but the list just keeps on getting longer :(
Ab-so-lute-ly excited! Though only a visitor, I've waited a year to repeat the grand experiences of Faire.
The PTB may create/own/run the venue, but you wonderful people make it the amazingly entertaining time that it is. (she writes as she tallies her shopping list and tipping monies)

Aw shucks, Marilou. I'm getting misty-eyed just reading that. We in the cast would be nothing if we didn't have any patrons to entertain. We really are an interactive entertainment venue, so you are as much a part of the faire as any of us.
I look forward to seeing all of you throughout the day, and especially to raising a glass together during pub sing.
I am a playtron and have to say that this weekend was incredible. We (my daughter and husband) had so much fun. There was just so much positive energy with the terrific cast, wonderful performers, fun shop keepers and of course the family of other Renn enthusiasts. I can honestly say that I have never enjoyed the PRF more. If opening weekend is any example, then this will be the best year ever for our Renn Fest.
BTW the shire has never looked better. All the new shops and building add a lot to the atmosphere. The only less than gushing note would have to be the food, it's still boring and bland. (sigh)
