Is it just Americans and maybe Canadians that have ren faires and dress in garb ? I believe there is a Shakespeare festival in England . I doubt seriously you could find a ren fest in Mexico , LOL. Go figure huh, we seem to connect with Medieval Europe unlike probably anyone else. Europe is so lucky with their castles and villages.
Renaissance Magazine posts listings of Faires in Europe. In England, France, Italy, Germany, and probably some of the other countries. I just can't remember. They may not be called Renaissance Faires. Sometimes called Medieval or other names. Try Googling in the country you're interested n.
I had no idea there was even a renaissance magazine !!! learn something new everyday I guess. Thanks for clueing me in .
Ten years ago, I was scouring the Internet, finding Festivals all over the world - and plotting them in a KML file, which you can open in Google Earth.
Since it's been so long ago, I'm sure it's out of date - but the file is located here, if you're interested - https://sites.google.com/site/dbaldock9/kmlfiles (https://sites.google.com/site/dbaldock9/kmlfiles)
Someone else here on the forum, has taken the idea a step further, and created an interactive web interface, based on the Google Maps API. I can't remember the link, though.
wow that is pretty awesome and a lot of work you devoted. I guess I never realized just how many faires there were.
There is http://www.therenlist.com/ (http://www.therenlist.com/) but I think its just the US and Canada.
