To be truely prepared for camping at faire, it is a must to have ALL the essentials before you leave home. Anything left behind could be cause for a major, or minor inconvenience, as well as the possibilty of a *costly* trip to WalMart at 3am. So everyone, here's my OCD camping list, for all to use when packing for TRF!

*updated*
BOOZE!!!
If anyone has anything to add here, please feel free. I'll keep this list updated!
Medications
Toothbrush
Ice
Deodorant
Hair Brush
Rope
Duct Tape
Handcuffs Oops, did I say that out loud? :o
Puh-lease- Rope and duct tape are ALWAYS in my list. Something that I keep in my car at all times. Along with a bottle of chloroform and a burlap sack. Keeps the boys nice and docile during a hostile Ren-Napping.
If someone has a place for me to post it, I have an excel spreadsheet I use for all of my camping events which I will gladly share.
Hmmmmm, you may be able to make it into a JPEG file and post a link to it here. Well, maybe from Excel, to PDF, then to JPEG. Then all you'd have to do would be to upload it into Photobucket and then post the link. YAY!!!

I actually gave my roll of rope to a newlywed couple Friday night. No idea what they did with it.::) Now I have to restock.

You saw my 4 page Pennsic packing list, right?!? Besides, it's set up to be used as a handy, dandy checklist.
you forgot tent mates....which if you don't bring with you, you can usually find one there.
Booze??? :D :D
Why bring your own booze?
<------must always bring Loki ;D
Packed and ready! Yes, everything is now in the truck ready to go! Am I sick human being for being ready over a month in advance? Or am I even human?
All I'll be needing is the tent-mate thingy. As I understand(I hear they are fun), tent means my tent, and mate, well, I'm not going graphic in details. ::) That'll be worked out in short order.....

Why bring your own booze?
Cuz it make the world go round?!?!?!?
But, everybody brings booze and shares it don't they?
I DO!
*Sharing rum is almost as much fun as drinking it... almost*
Of course we do! Even those who don't drink. **looking at you**
I bring to share too.
Of course they do, you never hear about the ones who DON'T share, then again you never really see them again either...curiouser and curiouser

Now, I'm not saying I know what happens to them, but I know that there is an awful lot of land out there, and there is on occasion one might hear the sound of a backhoe being operated....
Hmmm...is it just me? I'm looking at the few lists that have been posted and i see no mention of garb or clothes !! Hmmm..no clothes !!
And there is alot of mention of booze . Hmmmm...no cl0thes and lots of booze. !!
What just does go on in these campsites ?!! ROFL !!! ;D ::) ;)
Hey, the note about clothes and garb was at the bottom. Not my fault that "rennies" overlook these things!

Clothing? Where we're going we won't need clothes...
First thing that came to mind, I really should eat while having a pot of coffee

ROFl-yes, i saw the note after i wrote this. although a campsite with optional clothing and lots of booze could make for some interesting stories !!!
Naked camp full of booze is called drum/fire circle. My nightvision camcorder is usually out of battery by then. Usually. All I'm saying is there are a lot of folks who probably shouldn't run for political office without bribing me first!

Ressurecting an old thread. There are some folks that will be new to TRF camp and some of us like to compare checklists.
Aiacha, is it possible for you to post your list? I have this sneaking suspicion you are wiping the dust off of it to prepare for Pennsic.... :)

Sure thing. Let me put it in some version that will work on the board and I'll post it. Again, I'm still willing to share, but be warned! This list was created by a type A personality!

Not only costly, but quite time consuming if the right person is driving around trying to find the place.. ;)
Thanks hun! Being just a wee bit Type A myself... I am eager to see the list! ;D

I apologise for the formatting, but my list is a spreadsheet and I had to preformat is in word. A lot of these things are overkill; they are taken from my Pennsic list, where I'm in a tent for 10 days. Some of these things are also personal; my list also includes a basket for shopping, condoms and a hand fan. This list should be a good jumping off point.
Also, as a side note, remember when you wash dishes, take a shower, and brush your teeth, the cleaning agents are going right into the ground, so look for things that are biodegradable (should say it on the back).
great list and pointers, thanks hun! :)
Perfect camping list! I'm so glad Bonnie ressurected the thread! I printed it out and will start putting it together now! Can never be too early with some of the things since they're not used regularly and need to be dug out! THANKS!!! :-*
glad we could help!
take some time and dig through the old camping related posts. you will find lot's of info and the general banter will give you an idea of what the camp vibe is like and so on. :)
plus you'll see how spastic we really get on the countdown thread when the days get closer to cannon! ;D :D
Spastic? We don't get spastic.... oh crap! :o I need to get my Ravenswood order in! Damn,...Stillwater kilts..... and Celtic Croft....
AAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!! CRAP, CRAP, CRAP, CRAP!!!!
*runs in circle like a madman*
see, this is what happens when you procrastinate :P
maybe the countdown thread title should say 'let the chaos begin!' lol ;D
