That sucks big time. Not cool at all
Colorado too now. https://www.westword.com/news/colorado-renaissance-festival-sued-for-sexual-harassment-employment-discrimination-11419782 (https://www.westword.com/news/colorado-renaissance-festival-sued-for-sexual-harassment-employment-discrimination-11419782)
If we're keeping count , recent harassment claims so far connected to
Sterling, (NY)
MNRF,
KCRF,
Colorado.
Although the issue was not at the Sterling show, it was involving the owner of the show and his tenants elsewhere.
There's a suit against King George Coulam, owner of TRF, for the same thing... but that's old news and done outside of Faire.
A decision in the CORF case

What a load of road apples. >:(
After reading the attached article I still wonder who is telling the truth. It seems ren faires themselves are semi sexual to begin with much less add alcohol to it and there's a recipe for sexual harassment .
Word is Mid-America Festivals settled out of court the harassment and hostile work environment suit that they were threatened with that was in the news last year. http://www.startribune.com/renaissance-festival-faces-sexual-harassment-hostile-work-environment-lawsuit/490302361/ (http://www.startribune.com/renaissance-festival-faces-sexual-harassment-hostile-work-environment-lawsuit/490302361/)
MNRF has been holding hour-long sexual harassment workshops after hours for performers and crafters. They didn't say it was required for crafters, but they were certainly encouraging attendance by booth owners or managers. They did keep track of who attended. We're assuming it is something mandated by their out of court settlement for the civil suit.
It was pretty much just a general outline, I've been to more in depth sessions as a supervisor of county clerical workers.
