Title: The Rollicking Adventures of Tam O'Hare
Post by: Will Gamwell on August 12, 2008, 02:56:47 PM
Was wondering if anyone else has read this book and what their thoughts are on it.  I have read it, as has my 9 yr old son.  We both enjoyed it very much.

I picked up a signed copy at Olde World about two years ago.  Sadly the vendor (3 Celts & Company)seems to have disappeared.  Loved the book even if it is for kids.  Wish someone would make it into a movie. It interested me because the authors name was Scotty Roberts and mine is Robert Scott.  that and he is form the twin cites (my favorite place to live).  Its sitting on my shelf now next to my other signed books waiting for the next book.
here's the website

Hey Robert,
Last I saw 3 Celts & Company they were...???  at Grand Ole Days in St. Paul this past summer.  Usually they are at the Minnesota Renaissance Festival for the Highland weekend, but I neglected to head over to that area this year.

Scotty is a friend of mine and used to work/perform at the Minnesota Renaissance Festival.  Actually did a play version of the book last year in the Children's Realm.  If you check out his myspace page for Tam O'hare (http://www.myspace.com/tamohare), there is talk of a full length animated production of the first book.  I think the next book is slated for later this year.  Although I am not sure.  Along with writing and illustrating the book, the man has a lot of irons in the fire, so to speak.
