Title: A Couple Houston Area Celtic Events
Post by: Zardoz on September 02, 2008, 10:25:33 AM

Sunday November 2 2008, 4-7pm CELTIC CONCERT AT MILLER OUTDOOR THEATRE
The good people of Houston's KPFT FM 90.1 have organized a FREE Celtic Music Concert with some of the  best groups around. We're sharing the stage with our pals,
the high-energy group Murder the Stout and the exciting Irish Dancers of The Cass
School of Irish Dance, and we've just learned that we'll enjoy the FIVE-TIME WORLD
CHAMPION Saint Thomas Episcopal High School Pipe and Drum also!

The event is Free and Open to the Public. They tell us the concession stand will be open.
Bring a folding chair and sunscreen. Major thanks to Eddie Garcia and KPFT for
organizing this COOL event!

December 6th,  'Dickens on the Strand' Victorian Christmas fest, in Galveston. http://www.galvestonhistory.com/Dickens_on_The_Strand.asp

Thanks for posting this, Zardoz. As the Clear Lake park and Lake are visible out my back door now, we are planning on seeing all of these events.

Hopefully it will do well, they need the $$!  Dickens will be the first big event Galveston will have since Ike.
