We have a new faire directory made by theChuck! It's really very nice. Tom assisted theChuck in uploading the web pages and database. My thanks to these very generous gentlemen.
Oh, I should have said. Look for the link above in the menu.

This is great news! Thanks to everyone involved!
I LOVED discovering it this morning!!!!! Huzzah to everyone's hard work!
:) :) That's awesome. Rather like the timing of the announcement as well. :)
Huzzzah the directory is back.
You Guys ROCK! :o
This is great! I did notice that the Mid-Michigan festival is not listed. Is that one still on?
Thanks for getting that working again!
BTW - Sterling has updated its weapons policy. Peace tied weapons are allowed now...
Thanks again!
Well done (raising a mug of cider).
I'm assuming that you're still adding? There are quite a few one weekend Faires in Ontario. It's all we have right now!!

update
March 28th & 29th / April 4th & 5th - NCRF 09'
I just discovered that the website for the Arizona Renaissance Festival has changed to: http://royalfaires.com/arizona/ (http://royalfaires.com/arizona/)
The Carolina Renaissance Festival is:
http://royalfaires.com/carolina/ (http://royalfaires.com/carolina/)
(I'm not sure what site you have for the Carolina RF but the 2 are related so I thought I'd throw that one in as well.)
Just a suggestion, but perhaps the "Olde English Faire" in Illinois should be listed as "Stronghold Olde English Faire". It is commonly referred to as "Stronghold", and that may cause confusion for anyone looking for it that may be unfamiliar with it.
Huzzah and Cheers to you for all your hard work in re-establishing the directory! Please note that there are two other faires/festivals in Oklahoma that are very much alive and well. They are as below:
Scarlet's Mid-Winter Festival (Oklahoma's only indoor, mid-winter fest)
Historic Farmer's Market, OKC, Ok
website: scarletfest.com
Held: Last weekend each January (Jan 24 & 25, 2009 - our 5th year in exsistence!)
Contact: Robert or Angela Mullens, owners
King's Champion Medieval Festival
Chandler Park, Tulsa, Ok
website: kingschampion.com
Held: September each year (Sept 12 & 13, 2009)
Contact: Carla Glenn at Tulsa County Parks Department
In Arkansas there is:
Northwest Arkansas Renaissance Festival
Fayetteville, Ark
website: http://www.nwarenfest.org/
held: Last weekend in Oct (dates may be changing)
contact: Don or Lydia Upton, owners
Blackthorn Village Renaissance Faire
Maynard, Arkansas
website: http://www.freewebs.com/blackthorn1/index.htm
held: Opening August 2009
Contact: Robert Welsh
Thanks once again gents, hard work done very well!

Great to see that this is back... thanks!!! 8)
After Hurricane Ike, it's possible that there will be a "Dickens on The Strand" in Galveston this year, but I'm guessing it's not very likely.
Take Care,
David Baldock

I think it will depend on the state if the island. The Galveston Historical Society bldg where much of their props were stored suffered substantial damage. However, I think that if they have vendors who will bring tents, some people carrying lanterns, and say YES< people will come.
I am trying to stay in touch with the GHS and see what gets updated.

There will be a Renfaire in Shawnee, OK on November 8 - 9 this year. I believe this Queen Elizabeth & jousters are the same ones I have seen at the Kansas City Renaissance Festival. Admission is free!
The faire's site is http://fairealacarte.com/
See you there!
I'll work on updates for the directory this weekend.
According to the Galveston Daily News, Dickens is a go!
