Title: Monk Rope Belt
Post by: Brother Gregory on September 16, 2008, 01:22:16 PM
I'm going to be a monk for our local festival, my character is a monk I have a robe and cowl, the belt that came with it is fabric. I want to make a rope belt what size should a person use for a correct one.

I don't know if there is an "official" size for rope belts. but something I've seen commonly is about a 1/2 inch diameter cord

1/2" to an 1" is what I have used in the past.

I have also taken cotton clothesline and braided it.  that worked pretty well.
