Yes, the story. Rain. All weekend. Not just a sprinkle. Not a soaker.
A what in the hell am I doing out in this monsoon type rain. Got up
there Sat late afternoon and immeadiately fell. Actually to be honest
it was a face plant. Good thing I had my white caftan and white cloak
on to protect me from the mud.
I camped in my truck in the rain Sat night.
Sunday the sky looked like this

I went anyway. Some of the best times I've had at fest have been in
the rain. Rain, yes rain. Monsoon no. Monsoon = bad, very bad.
I got stuck trying to leave but thankfully the festival had a man on
a frontend loader with a chain...oh wait they told him to disappear.
Seems he was tearing up the field. Luckily I only had to pay the
towtruck driver $150 to get me out.

I wish we'd run into one another. I have a slightly damp hidy hole that I sing in and I had a towel. I actually had a good time, but I can have a good time in pretty miserable conditions. I'm fun about anywhere. Withing ladylike limits, of course.
Damn... You had a "fun" weekend! We only live about 20 miles south of the faire grounds. The sky looked like that all weekend so I hid indoors as much as possible. :-\ Sorry about the towing fee. Debra from the festival office told me 300 vehicles were towed out of the lot last weekend. If we had been there I would have pulled you out for free...
Oh, don't get me wrong. Some of the best times I've had have been in the rain. I'm just a little bent about the tow charge. I didn't sink my truck, I just couldn't get up the hill. No traction
yeah when i heard that kinda sucked.. i thought they would have paied for the tow trucks.. i mean it is there parking lot.
anyways..
