Ok, so I'm jumping off into the wide world of interweb conversation after just observing for years-aka lurking. I would like to introduce myself, I don't have a persona I just like to play. My name is Dawn and I live in Waco with my husband, Bob, and my four sons. We have been regular playtrans at Scarby for 12 years and have frequented TRF for four. Last year was our first year to camp and let me say that it was amazing..... I have learned recently from another forum experience that lurking is fine but when it comes down to it if people don't have any idea who you are and you know who they are...well, it's kinda creepy. So, I don't have any pictures but, I will be at TRF on opening weekend and if I can find any ID by then I will gladly give it cuz you guys rock and I dont wanna we a lurker no more....
Welcome to the light!
*did you bring rum?*
Blessing of the day and welcome to the R/F congregation!
Welcome dthestitcher
Welcome!
The more the merrier was never truer. ;)
Good day to you dthestitcher and well met! You might check out the post by MPullen at the top of the topic list titled "TRF Playtron Camping" and plan on wandering around the campgrounds to some of the locations where various R/F folks are camping. It's a fun way to make introductions and, I think, easier than trying to run into R/F folks in the faire.
Now that you have seen the RF light we can show you all sorts of things! Like Loki and the secret handshake and you can come and camp with us too!! Ok so I sound a bit happy but it's only because TRF is only 21 day and 23 hours away...
That's right people 21 days!!!!
But really welcome to the RF boards and I hope you enjoy your stay. Don't forget to let us know when you're going to TRF in this thread so we can find you:

Oh and if you're camping you are more than welcome to come and join up with us!
:throwing hands up in the air:
Praise GOD she's seen the light!!!
Just kidding... ;D Welcome to our group, we're glad to have you!
Many start out that way (lurking), and hello and welcome. Glad to have more.
Well, since one lurker is revealing who they are, I'll do the same.
I'm 32 years old, married for 7 years, and expecting our first child in November. I started going to TRF in 1993, and have been going every year since 2000. We started camping back in 2005, and I can't imagine going to TRF without camping. Camping out there is not only an absolute blast, it's also very convenient.
Due to the scheduling issues with the VERY pregnant wife, she's not going with me this year, but I'll be camping and attending during opening weekend with some friends.
Alas, no garb for me this year :( but the budget's pretty tight getting ready for the wee one. Next year we'll all three be in garb though :)
Welcome to the revealed world of identifiable posters. Careful or you might make life long friends while you are here.

It's like a plague that way i think......... ;D
*you can never have too many of these friends for sure*
Well met, Chander! Feliciations regarding your emminent arrival. Newborns camp really well... especially if they are nursing! Having been to faire both WAY pregnant and again with an infant... I can say: the infant is easier. Then you can pass the kid off when your back starts to give out. Kudos to your bride for granting you a trip to TRF without her. I'm not sure I'd have been so generous! Stop by McLotofus at row 8-9 near the main road and introduce yourself.
