Title: Halloween Costume Ideas???
Post by: Demetrius on October 15, 2008, 06:39:49 PM
If I don't end up being a pirate again- a few ideas I had: Trap Door, Bacon and Eggs, Ghost.

What is you be?

This year, I'm NOT going to be a pirate! :o

I'm being...

wait for it...

...

... A zombie!

... er... well okay, a zombie pirate.

I know, I know, I said I wasn't going to be a pirate, but... well... c'mon, it's a zombie pirate!

Alright, so the real reason for this is that I simply couldn't afford to put together anything better.  My grilfriend was going to dress me up like Sweeney Todd, but it doesn't look like the costume will be done in time.  Hence, I'm taking old pirate stuff, tearing it to shreds, and adding moss, seaweed, assorted shells, and liberal undead makeup.  It's gonna be epic.  Yar.  Er... Brains.

Aye, Looks like the Good CaptJack does still have one of those Cursed coins that won't let him die after all and turns him into a Zombie at full moon.

Jack, you been hanging with that Monley again?

Me? Halloween, i thought about going as the Ghost of my former self but then again where is the fun of that. So next I though Pirate wench, but I'm tired oof pirates at the moment (Even though I love pirates). Hum maybe go as Rob Zombie? Nah... I don't know. Maybe I'll just go as...

I have to work at the haunted house on Halloween night, so I'm not going to go all out that day for class...so I might just pop in my vampire teeth, or maybe I'll give myself a broken nose.  That's always fun.

I really dig the Grim Reaper IRS agent idea, Sir Garath.  That has to be one of the funniest concepts I've heard.

All things considered I think anything concerning the economy or money is way scarier right now than zombies and vampires!  The economy, or Sarah Palin....:P

Thinking some one is sexy isn't thinking they are beautiful. You know who i think is beautiful, i met her at the 07 co faire and hasn't changed since.

Now DeLaney i have one question...who will be playing the backend of the Maverick, because behind every maverick is a jackarse

Well... I was hoping I could find someone Old, who looked like a bull dog and didn't mind having it the Palin McCain ticket. And in real life, Maverick was a family name in Texas. They refused to brand their stock and let them go where ever. Hince the term Maverick

I never said anything about beautiful, but sexy she is not. Now if you said Angelina Jolie was sexy I would not argue, But Sarah Palin is as about as sexy as A Toy Poodle dressed up like a ballerina and lipstick on. And I also don't think she is THAT beautiful. Once again Angelina Jolie is beautiful outside.

OPPS that's two more drinks for saying Maverick OHHHHH  :o make that 3

I just had another idea- I think I'll dress up as a mirror scene in a movie (every movie has at least one scene where someone is looking in a mirror in introspection).

I usually dress for halloween in themed costumes with my mom and sister.  However, we aren't having our legendary halloween party this year and so my mom won't be with us.  Which leaves me and my sister.  Since i've been coming to fair forever, i think i ought to get something back for all the fab costumes in the "mundane" world....  Which means this year, I'm going to wear one of my ren fair personas.....  So it's either Red Bud the fairy, Red the pirate (though I did something similar a few years ago), or Red the Courtesan.  I don't think my QE1 stuff would work well in a bar scene, ya know?!

I haven't seen that one- but I did see a movie called Amy of Darkness, where Amy decides to leave all the lights off in her house to save energy.
There is a scene where Amy can't decide which red dress to wear, so she calls her Ren friend LadyElizabeth for suggestions.

As someone whose life goal is to be an IRS auditor (sad, I know), that's not a cool Halloween costume.  Not cool at all.

It's awesome.

So far, this October, I've worn the following costumes:

Undead/Cursed Jack Sparrow
Jack Sparrow on Vacation to Disneyland (it was great, excpet for having to carry buldging candy bags for 8 exhausted kids back to our hotel)

and I still have on my plate:

Jesus
Gorrilla Jesus
Raspberry Tart from Stawberry Shortcake
Will Turner
And probably Jack Sparrow again at some point. :)

I love October.....

Well, I tried the Phyllis Diller look for a costume party in Houston last Friday- short dark blonde wig teased all frizzy, ankle boots, colorful sack dress, elbow-length gloves, gaudy bling and a cigarette holder, most gleaned fom various local consignment shops. I think what I arrived at was less PD and more "middle-aged drag queen", but what the hell- people's reactions were great, and guaranteed nobody else was going to be wearing it!

Hey now... Using "PD" and "Middle-aged drag queen" in the same sentence is going to give people the wrong idea here. ;)  ((There are those here that shorten my purpledragon name to PD)). Just to toss this out there, seems appropriate
I am going as a Shadow Guard from Star Wars (http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Emperor%27s_Shadow_Guard (http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Emperor%27s_Shadow_Guard))

I just recently, as in today, bought the helmet, though it be red because there are no other shadow guards in the world, at least according to everything i ahve read.
Not even the 501st has one
So my intention is to be the first.
As I am painting my $300 helmet, that i got for $100 tomorrow and working on the robes before next year.

Its basically that, though its a Don Post original, which means its highly collectible and that it is the only liscensed versionof the helmet, though there are others out there.

Now to find someone who knows how to help me modify the helmet so it fits my head better, its a reallllly tight squeeze. But so worth it.

I'm doing up the Mad Hatter MUWAHAHAHAHA

Lady Veronica is gonna be The Queen of Hearts . . . . it is a knockout outfit.  I've been in the hospital 3 times already, every time she puts it on.
