Ok, 'tis the season to scare and be scared!!
Just wonderin' what everyone's favorite horror/thriller/creepy movies are?
What do you like to curl up with this time of year?
Some of mine include:
Exorcist (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0070047/) but go for the Director's Cut. The creepy "crab-walk" scene is a killer.
Exorcist 3 (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0099528/) George C. Scott and Brad Douriff are Amaz-za-zing in this movie. If you haven't seen it, it's uber-creepy with just enough "gotcha" moments to make it a classic. No spinning heads or pea soup, though. It's actually closer to a murder mystery.
Book of Shadows: Blair Witch 2 (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0229260/) If you haven't seen it, give it a shot. It's nothing like the first one and there's a bunch of creepy "easter eggs" throughout the movie that just add to the weirdness.
The Amityville Horror (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0078767/) is always a classic, but I prefer the original.
The Evil Dead (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0083907/) is chock full of low-budget goodness. Anything after this one is when the series started to get campy (Not that there's anything wrong with that), but the original is horror through and through.
Event Horizon (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0119081/) Think Amityville Horror meets Exorcist in SPACE! If you haven't seen this little gem, it is FULL of awesome!
Anyways...those are just a few of my personal faves. What about you?
Well, dang, Maelstrom---how can you forget the original The Shining?

Nazi Werewolves! FTW!!
I love The Shinning. Scariest book ever!
Rosemary's Baby: Not so scary by todays slasher standards, but how can you not love Ruth Gordon and John Casevetties hunting for the perfect mother/host for Satan.
Night of the Living Dead/Dawn of the Dead: There's a whole school of thought on which zombies are better. Those in the original or the running zombies in the remake. Me..I like a nice mix.
Halloween: Gotta see this once each year. The slasher that started it all.

I've always been more partial to the slow moving, shambling ones. Today's fast ones are good for "gotcha" moments, but the slow ones make you think you can get away...right up until they swarm your arse!
OK Maelstrom, so this is kind of a mini-movie and although I can't stand him, this does have its merit!

Grrrr! Stupid "Sonic Wall"!! >:(
I'll have to watch it when I get home.
You might want to re-think that.
It was 'Thriller'! ;D
I know 'House on Haunted Hill' made me turn all the lights on when I was a kid.

Awwww...Have some respect for the Thriller!
Ooooo House on Haunted Hill!!! I remember watching that on the Saturday Creature Feature as a kid.
I think Michael Jackson today is much scarier than zombie Michael :o ::). I don't like him either, but Thriller was a pretty cool video, of course it wouldn't have been as good without Vincent Price.
Yeah, Zombie Michael looks more human!

"House on Haunted Hill" still makes me wonder what will meet my hand when I go to turn on a light switch around a corner!
Also, although not Halloween in particular, both "The Turn of the Screw" and "The Other," are great scary films.
Beetlejuice~saw it when it first came out in theaters, and the firts time I heard the f bomb dropped. *lol* I was 10.
On tv: how can you forget The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown? Love it.'I was robbed! I could've gone out for tricks or treats!'
The Garfield Halloween special~
Witch's Night Out~with Gilda Radner
The Halloween Tree~
The Rocky Horror Picture Show~
anything Scooby Doo~
Hocus Pocus~
Bram Stoker's Dracula~
Dracula~ with Bela Lugosi, of course :)
The Nightmare Before Christmas~ I love Jack Skellington, I saw that the first time round in theaters~
Young Frankenstein~ so many gone now from that cast, God Rest their souls~
TV: The Munsters, and the Addams Family; mom grew up watching them, as did I in reruns, and so did my daughter~ I still want Lily Munster's dress. I loved how they both saw nothing wrong with how they were, and how every one else was 'plain, or ugly'. So wonderful. I would have loved to have both for neighbors. I also loved the Addams Family movies.
Halloween Town on Disney~ great for kids, and a neat idea where Halloween Town is an actual place there.
Elvira, Mistress of the Dark~ campy, but we knew that, already, and she had another movie out awhile back, Haunted Hills, I believe, with Richard O'Brien.
oh, I'll think of more...
sorry, my cousins scarred me for life with horror movies when they rented 'Nightmare on Elm Street' when it first came out, and I was smacking my sister on the way out of the theater when we saw 'Dead Silence' last year. As if I wasn't already terrified of ventrilioquist dummies. *lol* Really good scary movie, though.
I'm not into horror flicks. The old great classics are ok because they are suspenseful without all the blood and gore shock flicks of today. The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown will always be my all time favorite! I have to admit that I like all the above mentioned kiddie flicks too! Halloweentown series was cute. Also Casper with Christina Ricci. Beetlejuice and Hocus Pocus are a riot!
Here's a couple more I've had rattling around in me brain lately....
Let's Scare Jessica To Death (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0067341/)
and
Burnt Offerings (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0074258/)
I haven't seen either since I was a kid, but I've been looking for them lately. Wanna see if they hold up well.
A fun spooky one from 1965. I remember watching it on TV as a kid once on New Year's Eve.
Two on A Gullotine http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0059837/
Duke Duquesne (Cesar Romero), an eccentric magician, accidentally beheads his young wife Melinda (Connie Stevens) with a prop guillotine during a stage performance. Their two-year-old daughter is sent away for 20 years to live with an aunt. News of her father's death brings the daughter (also played by Stevens) back to attend the funeral. The following day, she is told he left a rather odd will. She will inherit her father's estate on the condition that she stay in his creepy mansion for seven nights in a row -alone.
I was out running about in a corn field maze today so this one came to mind. I was pretty sure Malachi was gonna get me.
Good cast (Linda Hamilton for one) spooky premise.

Still not old school enough. Check out Whoever Slew Auntie Roo (1971) with Shelley Winters, or Gaslight (1944).
And what about the original Carrie??? A little pigs blood, anyone?
The Addams Family and Addams Family Values - hilarious!
Halloween - a rubber William Shatner mask painted white was never so scary
Friday the 13th - some of them got kinda stupid, but it's still frightening. Especially when Jason Voorhees is played by Kane Hodder
See No Evil - I know it's a WWE film, but damn Kane is a scary mofo. Plus, you'll never listen to "Jesus Loves the Little Children" the same way again.
How about "The Changeling" with George C. Scott. The wheelchair scene gets me every time as well as the rubber ball down the stairs. A good scary movie with no gore.

Well, I watch them more for the laughter factor than anything else. That and when I need to build up an appetite. For some reason I tend to get hungry during gory movies. Does that make me a sociopath?
American Werewolf in London is by far my fav.
For comody horror. The Ghost and Mr Chicken with Don Knotts
Others I like
Any of the Christopher Lee Count Dracula Hammer horror films
Abomnible Dr Phibes with Vincent Price
John Carpenters The Thing
Bram Stokers Dracula even though everytime Keanu speaks I hear Bill and Ted's Excellant Adventure

The Dark Secrets of Harvest Home
And who can forget Bette Davis in Whatever Happened to Baby Jane?
'Oh, Blanche, did ya know we have rats in the cellar?'
Can put you off a covered dish for years.
*edit---by the way, Bette Davis was in Dark Secrets of Harvest Home too.
Very New England...very Salem.
A little trivia on the shower scene in Psycho. From a website:
"Having tested the sound generated by stabbing a number of several fruits, Hitch selected the sound of a stabbed casaba (a Turkish melon) for the sound effects to be used in the movie. The blood seen in the shower was in fact chocolate sauce."
Whatever Happened To Baby Jane was required viewing in my house when I was a kid. Plus the ever-chilling The Bad Seed.
Ooooo!
Whatever Happened to Baby Jane is another one I haven't seen since I was young. I never knew what it was about except that there was some crazy lady serving her crippled sister a rat. Gotta watch it again and see if it makes more sense!

Never saw the remake ... but the original (at the drive-in theater, no less) gave me rat creepies for years! Still have to shudder when I think of millions of rats swarming over vaguely human shaped figure.... blech
The only things that have ever really "stuck" with me, and give me the flat out creeps to this day are the crab-walk scene and the head spinning scene in Exocrcist.
My GOD!! I get the chilly-willies EVERY time I watch that movie!!
Oh yes... and "The Car"!!!
How about "Christine",
Bram Stoker's "Dracula",
oooh... "The Tingler" (50's camp" ... Ladies and Gentlemen, do not panic, but Scream... Scream for your lives!!! ) funny now, but not so funny when you're 10!!!

The CAR!!!!!!!
When it ran over that guy in the opening scene I thought it was an accident, then it backed up and ran over him again... and again!!!
Children should NOT be allowed to watch movies like that! What were my parents thinking???
LOL
I rememebr my parents going to see all sorts of horror movies at the Drive-In and I was supposed to be asleep in the back seat....Amazing what you can see when your parents car has bucket seats!
Poltergeist for the shiver factor; Hocus Pocus for the Bette Midler in beestung lipstick factor (she'll put a spell on you!); It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown for the nostalgia factor; and Motel Hell for the cheese factor.

~The Black Cat (1934), the first Legosi/Karloff joint effort in film. Creepy, I saw it in 9th grade on Halloween. I liked it.
~ Frankenstein and the Bride of Frankenstein~
~Horror Of Dracula(1958), Peter Cushing and Christopher Lee
~Legend of Sleepy Hollow(1958), I think one of the scariest animated Disney movies. I loved this movie, I want to own it.
~Sleepy Hollow(1999) Oh, Johnny Depp and Tim Burton. I adore this movie.
~Phantom of the Opera~ Gerard Butler, I dvr'd it and need to finish seeing it again.
~The Carnival of Souls(1963)

Could have been! :o
I also saw The Exorcist on a date (with my first husband, the first year we were dating). We walked home from the movie through the pea soup Palos Verdes fog. I still have nightmares with the subliminal stuff from it from time to time. But I have to say that I still like "Tubular Bells." The recording that launched Virgin Records. And Mike Oldfield's sister, Sally Oldfield, made a beautiful recording called "Waterbearer," similar in style to her brother's.
Still enjoy scary movies, but much prefer the subtler ones than mere bloodfests.

I do! I do! I felt kinda sorry for the Willard guy, though.
I agree with Lady Nicolette.
I can forgo the slasher pics in favor of a good psychological thriller with a good twist at the end that you never saw coming.
One that comes to mind is Johnny Depp in Secret Window.
Spouses all over the nation took an avid interest in gardening. ;)
Or how about Buried Alive with Jennifer Jason Leigh and Tim Matheson.
Psychological thriller at its best.
Those kinds of movies to me are even more scary.
Because crazy people are among us.
Some even closer than you realize.
Ain't that the truth! ;D
That was Hitchcock's premise: that crazy people were far more frightening than "monsters". Perhaps because someone could actually become a Norman Bates with little provocation. It really could (and does) happen.
While wer'e on the subject of Hitch's thrillers, Frenzy has to be one of my favorites. The camera as it follows the killer and his victim to the top of the stair and then slowly backs down again as the door shuts behind them. You don't seee a thing...but you just know. *shudder*.
Or the scene as the headlights of the car spot the back of the potato truck and just an arm (well some body part...I forget) is seen poking out. Ah sweetness. :)
I still like movies like Chainsaw Massacre though. ZZZZZZZZZZZ!!
The Birds...
*Anna looks up at the sky in terror and begins waving her arms about in fright.*
Where...WHERE!!!!!???
What about "Phantasm" ???
Or maybe "The Hitcher" Got to love Rutger Hauer in that one. ;D
My all-time favorite Halloween movie is still the original "The Haunting."
"And remember, we who walk here, walk alone."
I also like "The Black Scorpion" for the nostalgia effect. And I do watch "The Uninvited" on some Halloween evenings.
Last House On The Left
HELLRAISER...
Because no one tells a horror tale quite like Clive Barker ;D
House of 1000 Corpses, and Mr. Zombie's version of Halloween wasn't half bad either - I was suprised at how much I enjoyed it
I love all the Troma films for the cheese/camp factor (think Toxic Avenger, etc.) and for extra cheese...Attack of the Killer Tomatoes or Killer Clowns from Outer Space :P
I am one of those who really loves the gore and critiques the effects ( I *BIG RED HEART* Evil Dead and Evil Dead II for being so DIY) - cgi really is taking a huge bite out of an amazing art form...

Loved House of 1000 Corpses up until the last 20 minutes or so....then it just got too wierd.

I spent many an hour in London listnin' to Blokes complain about the fog. It was thick but nowheres near the density of a SoCal sock in. Ya couldn't see the street lights, traffic signs an sometimes the curb as ye rolled over it at 2 mph. :o I don't be missin' Long Beach much ;)
Movies an fog- The Crawling Eye, comes ta mind. B grade with good continuity, interesting characters and a decent plot.
I'm famous for being the only one who could figure out which direction to go after a concert at the Long Beach Arena to get everyone out of the parking lot and to the hotel. Just tuned into my inner compass from my youth there.
Kind of fits the topic here, since it was a metal showcase...had all of the Sabs, Gene Simmons' ubiquitous appearance etc. Now that backstage was scary! ;)

The Strangers (for the simple fact that it in this day and age some people would try to kill you just because "you were home")
Dunno 'bout anyone else, but that line, right there, gets my vote for Most! F-Up! Line! EVAR!!
"Why are you doing this?"
"Cuz you were home."
GAAAAAAAHHHHH!!!!! :o :o :o
**Checks the deadbolts on his front door**
*Adds The Strangers to the 'to be watched' list*
This one sounds too creepy to miss ;D
It was creepy...for the simple fact that there are some people today would kill or do other nefarious deeds "juz becuz" (intentional misspelling).
Yep, there's lot's of people who get off on "mean" Makes therm feel good I guess...
Going in to a slightly differnt category, but anyone here ever seen some of the new Japanese films coming out. Now those...sorry if your're a fan, but those are sick. The Audition. Yikes!!!
There's scary and theres "Get out of my head".!
For me the first movie that really got in my head was the "Nightmare on Elmstreet" series. The whole get you in your sleep thing...
Set your DVRs for Tuesday night at 8/7 central on ABC, 'It's The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown'.
;D
There is one movie that always gets to me because of its total creepiness...and that is the great British thriller.."Village of the Damned". I am talking about the original black and white one now...not the Christopher Reeve remake...although that one is passable. Because of that movie, I have never been able to allow myself to conceive children. I keep thinking that my half grown children will give me a cold blank stare when I tell them to clean up their rooms, and they will say..."we will not allow you to harm us"..in a creepy John McCain-like monotone.......and then they will make me burst into white hot flames. It gives me the shivers just to think about it. And, now that I think about it, dogs are easier to raise than children and they are not half as dangerous. But, then, I think of that movie "Cujo" and I get worried again.
On a much more serious note, the british horror classic "the Blood on Satan's Claw" is certainly great Samhain movie fair. It stars Patrick Wymark of "Battle of Britain" fame. This film has everything....satanic worship, sexual seduction of priests, self-mutilation, murderous children and a really hot Sunday School teacher....all set in a gorgeously creepy English Countryside. And, it takes place in the 1600's , too. So. it has a Ren tie-in. Check it out if you can...it is a little hard to find, though.
Return to Horror High 80s cheesy movie
Cutting Class early 80s Brad Pitt movie
Tales from the Darkside t.v. show
Friday the 13th t.v. series
most of my fave movies have already been listed so I listed some 80s oldies
Something Wicked This Way Comes...
The Gate
Ghoulies
Watchers in the Woods
there is a movie about a severed hand that attacks people. I can't think of the name but I know Michael Cane stars in it.
Since we're approaching the season once again, I thought I'd reboot this topic for a new year... 2 years later! ::) :D
I was just reminded of... The THING!!! Creepy/scary/gory jump-outta-your-seat stuff!!!
No one mentioned Alien, either...
Any one else have any favorites, new or old?
I saw Alien on the big screen, with no prior knowledge of events to come. It was the scariest movie I ever saw. On the little screen, it doesn't have the same impact... Leaving the theater, I told my companions that I would NEVER watch that movie again. I lied.
Favourite? Hard to say... I love horror ...and comedy... How about Young Frankenstein or Dead and Loving It?
Young Frankenstein was on the other night! What a great film.
I am not a big fan of scary movies but I do like:
Mary Shelley's Frankenstein with DeNiro & Branagh
Bram Stoker's Dracula with Ryder, Reeves & Oldman
Charlie Brown - The Great Pumpkin! :)
Young Frankenstien
That's what I can think of for now...
My halloween movies:
Seconding Bram Stoker's Dracula
also, i always watch Hocus Pocus on TV
then Practical Magic
then Sleepy Hollow
Those last three are all fun Halloween faves of mine as well, Belle. I really like the fun/scary much more than the scary/scary... Someone earlier in the thread mentioned The Ghost and Mr. Chicken, and I remember that one from when I was a kid, and I loved it! It was fun to watch movies in B&W back then, and wonder what everything would have looked like in color.
Oh, what about all the Abbott and Costello movies? Abbott & Costello Meet the Mummy, Frankenstein, the Wolfman, the Invisible Man... those were hilarious when I was a kid!
Oh, yeah... there was a scary/scary one I was thinking about last night, also... It was an early 70's B flick called The Gargoyles, and it was kinda gory for that time... I watched it at my grandparents house one night while I was supposed to be sleeping. Freaked me out... ::)
Know what i forgot???
ARMY OF DARKNESSS!!!
How could i forget the Bruce Campbell hotness????
1972's Tales from the Crypt: You were mean and cruel right from the start. Now you really have no ... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FlAwOkPSdXo
The theatre really went all out for this w/zombie ticket sellers; someone in a coffin taking tickets; and nurse ushers. Now that was fun.
Poltergeist - Amazingly scary when you think about the setting and the idea of a normal family who finds themeselves in that situation.
I still love to watch my mom's favorite movie - The Uninvited. But, my favorite scary movie of all time and the one that still gives me chills - the original The Haunting. Shirley Jackson was a genius; perfect story, perfect cast, and it's in black and white.
By the way, any chance for an appearance at a booksigning at TRF on Pirate Weekend? I'd love to ahve you ladies (Rani and Taffy) sitting at a table, pen in hand, to sign books . . . ?
Oh, darn... I'll only be able to get down there for All Hallow's Eve this year. It's quite a trek for me, and I just don't have the funds to make it more than one weekend a year. Sorry... Maybe Taffy can make it, though.

Well, Taffy just reminded me of Shaun of the Dead, and I can't recall if it's been posted here before or not... and of course since this thread was started there has been... Zombieland!!!
Zombieland... :D Love the rules. "Rule number 1: Cardio. Rule number 2: Beware of Bathrooms".....
I'm *always* a sucker for zombie flicks. :)
It's almost time again for me to find a corn maze and run about pretending I'm being chased by Malachi. :D
http://www.imdb.com/video/screenplay/vi2112292377/
I soooo want to do the maize/maze this year!!! My renlet loves mazes, but she's only been in one made of fabric panels, so this year I'd like to take her out to the real thing. We WON'T be watching Children of the Corn first, however... :P ::)
Gaaaah... I can't even watch the trailer for it!!! Darn you, Anna!!! Now I'll have Malachi nightmares... :o
(I suppose that was payback for the Peep porn, huh?)

October 23-24, Pirate Weekend. I'll be set up where I was last year, thanks to our friend Ravic!, and hawking books and CDs.
Anna, the "Rules" had me practically rolling in the isles the whole movie! The scene on the rooftop with the Purell hand sanitizer is still one of the funniest lines I've ever heard, also! :D

Yes, Taffy, please come visit. Same time, same place as last year... a stone's throw from the meet & greet. Rani, please drop by AHE.
Blackbead, you are absolutely right about The Haunting.
Taffy and I will both be there for AHE, and we'll be together, so perhaps we'll both drop by!
Ooookay... getting back on topic... Anyone remember Salem's Lot? Now there was one creeeepy movie!!! :o Oh, and a bit more recently... what about The Wicker Man?

The 7 Faces of Dr Lao
Caltiki
The Illusionist
The last is more of a murder mystery. Tis still a very well done period piece.
It has been so long since I've seen The 7 Faces of Dr Lao. Love that movie!
On to the list (only going to mention stuff that hasn't been said yet)
The Mothman Prophecies-Very awesome psychological thriller. I can't say enough about how much this movie freaked me out.
Arachnophobia-I couldn't sit on the toilet without checking it out completely first when I was younger.
Invasion of the Body Snatchers-Classic who is good and who is bad thriller.
Jaws-The movie that single handed shut down the beaches for years.
The Omen-Congratulations! It's an antichrist!
Bedknobs and Broomsticks-I love the end of the movie when she animates all of the armor.
Those are just a few of my suggestions if you haven't seen them.
For those who get it BBC is doing a Ghoul Britannia and have a bunch of Halloween movies
http://www.bbcamerica.com/content/412/schedule.jsp
I liked "The Changeling" with George C. Scott. No gore, little blood, great suspense. Kind of like old Hitchcock movies. They scare you, not shock you.
Sleepy Hollow 1999.
hands down....
I can't believe someone actually mentioned Caltiki. I used to love watching that one on TV when I was younger. It's probably not as good as I recall though. The original Halloween is a classic.
I love getting the %$#@ scared out of me! But I also like the horror-comedies... Bruce Campbell's trilogy, Shaun of the Dead, Young Frankenstein, etc.
I like Van Helsing because it has some funny parts as well as horror, its not super scary I guess, but its my favorite.
I also like the two older "Fright Night" movies, lol.

I love Carl!.
"Actually, I'm still just a friar."
David Wenham is great.
The Rocky Horror Picture Show.
The film that got me back into costuming and put fishnets back into Halloween!! Along wth garish makeup!
Watch it every Halloween...
YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN!!!

Becky, Carl is MY favorite too! ;D
This one sounds intriguing Perfume: The Story of a Murderer and even has Dustin Hoffman
In 18th century France, Jean-Baptiste Grenouille, born with no scent of his own, but with with a supernatural ability to detect the scent of others is driven to murder in order to create the perfect perfume.

Oooooh... the Cosmetics Killer! :D Sounds suitably creeepy... :o
Oh, just had a flash from the past! Ok, so not horror in the classic sense, but a couple from Charlton Heston that were nice and creepy, as well.
Soylent Green...
("Soylent Green is PEOPLE!!!")
&
Omega Man...
Matthias and "the Family" gave me the royal creeps for ages, and I wanted bars on the doors and windows afterward! I wasn't really all that impressed with the "I Am Legend" remake, except for the whole speed factor of "the infected".
I saw most of these movies as a pretty young kid, though, and compared with today's tech and special effects they would all just be "old movies", but the storylines are all solid, and modern remakes could be done really well if the effort was made. Not sure anyone could do them better than Charlton Heston, though... and even as much as Will Smith entertains me... he's no Heston.
Has anyone seen the trailer for The Black Swan? I am dying to see that one.
Ooooh, that was suitably ooky! Stalker flicks always creep me right on out! :o
There was a mini-series on the telly back in 1978 that was a real doozie! Written by Tom Tryon (Mac in In Harm's Way) and starring Bette Davis and Rosanna Arquette (age 19, her second appearance!) and a lot of other familiar faces. The mini-series was 5 hours worth, but they have only released it as a 2-hour video. How do you cut 60% of a movie and have it hold up??!? It had a very frightening ending... I was scared of women for a long time after watching that!
Ummm... did it have a NAME?!? ::) :D

The Dark Secret of Harvest Home.
Ferret
Oh, yes, I remember that one! Women were in charge of the town, and everyone observed old rituals, including human sacrifice, to ensure the harvest every year. Same basic premise as Wicker Man, and several others in a similar vein...
Cashing in on that whole Puritanical idea that it's always the women who are "in league with the devil"... ::) :P
Wow...I went to sleep on that one...good catch Ferret. Gotta do something about this ADHD..
Two on a Guillotine was a fun spooky/comedy
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0059837/
I just ordered a copy of a film that is one of my "guilty pleasures" and I think fits into this cateGORY. "The Keep" - this will be my Halloween movie this year! Jurgen Prochnow, Gabriel Byrne, Ian McKellen, Scott Glenn, a demon, the Carpathian Mountains, World War II, the Wehrmacht AND Nazis, and a Tangerine Dream soundtrack that is intense. This movie has it all!

*Evil laugh* We are......
I'm probably gonna have rocks thrown at me for this one, but I personally got a good scare from Blair Witch. Hid under the covers the night I saw it and couldn't even go down the wicker aisle at Michaels Crafts for months!
Anna, I wasn't even able to watch more than 10 minutes of Blair Witch... and not because of the "fear factor", either. I have an inner ear thingy that makes me ill of things swing and jump around too much in my field of vision, and after less than ten minutes of that I had to go get rid of a good portion of my dinner. :-X I still don't know much about the storyline, other than it's a bunch of kids out in the woods... running with cameras strapped to their foreheads, apparently. ::) LOL Same thing with District 9, as well, and that one I actually wanted to see!
I have the same problem with a lot of video games that have a shifting "line of sight". also, particularly on 90-180* turns, so I can't play most of the really cool 1st person shooter games, either...
One movie that scared me the most is "Dog Soldiers", a werewolf type movie. LOL, I only ever watch it during the month of October when I WANT to be scared. ;D
Hammer mummy movies tonight on TCM, if anyone's interested.
