==========================================
I would like to ask for healing energies for someone that some of you
know.
As you all know, Sandy and I work in the chainmaille shop at TRF. This
past Sunday I had to rush our booth owner, Lord Randolph to Tomball
hospital. He was having severe abdominal pain. They diagnosed him with
diverticulitis and some of his colon had ruptured. They admitted him to
the hospital on antibiotics and I just found out that he will have to
have surgery.
He has been a vendor at TRf for 33 of the 34 years that TRF has been
around.
Also need positive energies for his wife Lady Jane and Lady Jo.
They do not have any insurance and we have set up a fund for him at the
shop. If you can, come by the shop this coming weekend and drop in a
dollar or 2 to help out.
Thanks so much to all my fairemily. You all are the best.
Sleepy
We also found out this afternoon that Lord Randolph is going home today. He spoke with Andy and told us that they will have to remove about a foot and a half of colon (yikes) but he might be able to put the surgery off for a little longer, either after TRF or AZ faire.
Being a part of his show like 15 yrs now...he is so like family to me and I keep him and his family in my thoughts daily!!
So sorry to hear this news. I ALWAYS take in his show when I'm at TRF. I'll spread the word among friends to drop some coins for the cause.
Namaste
So sorry to hear this, I'll do what I can to spread the word. Perhaps RESCU could help with the medical costs?
Aw geez, poor guy! I don't actually know him, but I had a brief conversation with him about ten years ago, and I remember it to this day. He makes an impression. I'll be sure to drop a little in the fund when I drop by his shop this weekend.
Wow! I hate to hear he's not doing so well... He's loved by many <3
I'll see what I can scrounge up. We need to make a special donation jar to pass during the fashion show, if at all possible. Wonder if someone needs to talk to King George and get approval, I'm sure he'd say it fine.
I did not post anything about this because I did not have the details and was not sure if the shop wanted it to be posted. I am glad to hear that he is doing better and am well aware of the situation.
My father also had the same situation on a Tuesday Morning about 3 AM. The family woke up and rushed him to the ER. His colon had also ruptured and he needed emergency surgery. They took out about the same amount of colon as well and he had a colostomy bag for 8 months. He can no longer eat corn or nuts.
Thank you for posting this information and he always has been and always will be in my thoughts. Randolph is very close in my heart. I was worried that it had ruptured and I hope that he can have everything taken care of soon.
Mpullen would you be able to keep me posted on the happenings?
Prayers and good wishes to LR.... if he needs help..... someone print out the RESCU forms for him

It's seems to be going around...just so you know Zaubon has it to, but I don't think his colon has ruptured.. That's three in one week. I will keep all three in my prayers.
Ravic from the book shop also needs our prayers! Heart attack last Sunday. Stay healthy- friends at TRF. Hugs!

You are correct that Ravic needs our thoughts, however he did NOT have heart attack. His heart rate was elevated as was his blood sugar (both to severely high levels), he was released from Tomball Hospital late on Monday night.
There is someone looking into RESCU for Lord Randolph, and as it says there will be a collection taken at the booth for any who wish to donate to his medical expenses.
how horrible for all of them. I will definitely keep them in my prayers. I'm a licensed health insurance agent. They need to talk to me about insurance, hopefully they'll now be more aware of just how important it is to have it.

Actually, that is what the RESCU foundation is all about. It is a way for performers and vendors that make their livings on the faire circuit to have insurance for such medical emergencies.

Thank you for the update PurpleDragon. I had just gotten the same word from Ravic (through friends) and came to let people know when I discover you are a step ahead of me.
"Hey People. Lets be careful out there."

That's good to know! I haven't heard of them before. Here's some other helpful links for them as well that I can assist them with if Rescu doesn't handle all their needs. http://optumhealthallies.com/ (http://optumhealthallies.com/) and http://www.healthadvocate.com/ (http://www.healthadvocate.com/)
Yes, Prayers and wishes Lord R.
The Hubby has this also many of his fav foods are now off the menu.
Seeds, nuts, anything with a "hull" that may be ingested but NOT digested.
His, never as server as yours, TG will put him in bed for days.
I myself do not know the pain but have witnessed it many times, Please do not put this off for long (if at all).
Sending good thoughts and healing prayers
Prayer Said.
Randolph himself posted information about his situation on his website. Please go read!

I live in Magnolia and if an emergency situation arose I would most adamantly tell the EMS people to take me or my loved ones to The Woodlands! Yes, Tomball is awful!!! The distance between the two locations, from faire, is about the same. The Woodlands is maybe a mile or two more than Tomball, but with the FM1488 expansion, the sirens and whirly lights the time can be made up quite efficiently.
There was a rumor a while back that there were plans in the works for a hospital here. That would be a plus IF the level of care is up to par. Oh yeah, and a mall :-\ The 'Malling of America' is soon to reach our area sadly.
I wish Sir Randolph all the best in his recovery. I can't even imagine the pain. I read his update and I have to say he is a lot more patient than I would have been! Of course my hubby says I'm mean, so there ya go ;)
I just got off the phone with Randolph. He sounds a LOT better and is in good spirits! He won't be at faire this weekend, so he can rest up some more. I was told by him to "rally" the owners of chain maille. We WILL do the fashion show after the parade. Bruce at the shop might be able to dress some people who have worn chain maille before, but no newbies this weekend.
If you are a chain maille owner...please do the show with us. Make Randolph proud!! ;D
You know I will be there! :D
I am glad to hear that he is doing better. I have known him for many years I will keep him in my thoughts and my Heart.
I will be there for the Sunday show I would not miss it for anything. I am sad to say I will not make it out sat for the show, the first for me in years. I will get there around 10-12 sat night crying cause I missed a day of fair on one of my Fav weekends and my girls b-day and other stuff but I will make it in time for the party's:).

I had the pleasure of seeing Sir Randolph at faire this weekend, so I will go with the assumption that he will be here this coming weekend. He looked well and was in good spirits :)
I had this message booked marked and finally found my password. I hope Lord Randolph is doing well and hope to see him during Holloween weekend since that is when our small group is coming up. Any word on Sir Randolphs health would be appreciated. hope to see up there during all hollowes eve and closing weekend. About a mouth away can't wait, starting to get my gear and grab together.
