Once again a good time was had by all. From the furious Jenga game on Fri night to the last scrapings in the Pot. Some photos are fuzzy ,must have been the camera not the beer. Thanks to all who made this event possible. Sir Humphrey,Peter the Beer Slayer(and maker!) all who brought those wonderful potent potables ,Sir Fred and last but not least the fantastic entertainers Jack Salt, The Pickle Brothers and Minstrel Woode. Here are the pictures Windchime took while we were at the castle this weekend also. It was our first visit and we had a great time. It is always great to meet so may old friends and also some new friends. The castle hosts were wonderful and so was the entertainment.

It was a sad weekend for this crusaders knowing there was a chance to be medieval amongst friends and then realizing there was no way we would be able to attend.

now that the "Captain" has approved a plan'n of the next "Gather'n", what say yea about early to mid-April'09 ?
ren fest season starts in this region at the first of May, at TNRF. so's we thought April would work well, unless others wish it to be earlier. ;)
me's will take this post'n to our fellow "Castleteers" over at R/F forum to see what they have to say also.
me's just can not stand it not to have a plan for our next meet'n up with all of you.

April's good. And hopefully Mike will be back by then so maybe he can join me this time. I vote for closer to the end of April though so it's closer to the beginning of faire season. ;)

...much sadness at our house.
Our apologies to one and all, what can I say "I'm middle-aged, and it sucks..."

good spirit stated that this last March work'd out well,

i have taken the 27th (a friday) and the 28th (a saturday) for myself.....for you
if you want entertainment may i suggest that everyone chips in ten bucks and we split it between whomever performs. these nights are for you people, if not specifically, then generally. by your being there, you make the castle better. you do not have to pay for your enjoyment :)

We totally need to being some entertainment again! That was fantastic!! Perhaps we invite the lovely Dr. Kaboom? (Although I think he does Scarby, and isn't that in March?) Perhaps ask Wulf? Awesome pipes from them! And they are from Loveland, I believe. Are Silent Lion local? And I'd be totally okay if we asked Minstrel Woode or Jack Salt again!
Mike and I had an awesome time! Thanks to all for their kindness and welcome. We've found home it seems. Thanks to Sarah for inviting us and the rest who made sure I found my way to this site.
I missed you all terribly, and I apologize for not being able to attend. I cried. Seriously. We only have the one car, and my hubby's parents adamantly refused to take him to work on Sunday, because their check engine light was on (I was slightly angry when it turned out to be something SERIOUSLY minor). We're actually living with said parents at the moment, which isn't so bad, really.
Can't wait for the next gathering! I miss everyone like mad. D=
