Hi, Everybody. I think most are aware that Terry is playing on December 18th at the Harp. Since it is so close to Christmas we had been thinking that it might be a great night for a Rennie Yule get together. Just the fellowship of each other, no gifts exchanged, just laughs shared and songs sung. Pass this on to any of our other friends you may know but who aren't on the boards. We don't need to make reservations so grab anyone you can think of and come to the Harp! I think there is trivia first and you know how well we did on that the last time!
Jan
sounds awesome. I will mark our calendar now. :D
I will try my best to make it.
That's Nick's last day of finals. I may be driving him home that night, so it's going to be tough to get to the Harp & Fiddle. But we'll try. Our plan is to drive straight from Bowling Green, Ohio to the Harp. I'm going to be road-weary when I get there.
I shall do my best to be there. Thursdays can be difficult because I usually have music rehearsal at my church... that is, unless it is cancelled. So... everyone hope it gets cancelled that night for me! ;)
I plan to be there!
I plan to be there as well.

I will be there! Music rehearsal was cancelled that evening so the choir could rehearse their musical.
which means... someone prayed that music rehearsal was cancelled for me!!! yay! :D
Save a couple of seats for us, too! ;D
You can count my family in too. What a great way to have a Rennie Christmas. What time is everyone planning on getting there?
I'd kind of like to make it down for trivia this time, so we'll plan to be there at least by whenever that gets started. Does anyone have a time for that?
Trivia starts at 7:30 and is over between 8:30 and 9:00. I'll start when trivia is over.
o.k., Professor M. I've set you up for the punch line.

Awww shucks. That's just too easy. Should I? Really? I guess it's expected....
"How will we be able to tell the difference!?" ;D
I don't feel good about that.
There it is. Ha!
Time to bring this back up top so everyone can make plans.
This is going to be a very special night for all of us. Our son, Damon and his wife will be visiting from Santa Fe and are accomplished musicians on their own. I'm sure we can convince them to perform a tune or two. Please come and meet them.
Please pass along the information to those you know who aren't on this forum so we can celebrate our "Rennie Christmas" together. There are many people that I hope to see that night that haven't been there yet. I've had a few promises that I won't mention here just in case but I think we will see some old friends that are new to our nights together at the Harp.
If you can't make it, Jan and I would like to wish you the happiest of holidays.
Do they let those of us who are under 21 in? I'd love to go to see everyone!

Absolutely! The Harp & Fiddle is more restaurant than bar. My kids have been going there for years (fine example I set). It would be great to see you there.
I have MADE SURE that we will be there this time and so look forward to seeing everyone!!!
Do you think there is still room for two more? Mr. Mumsies and I would love to be back with all of you!
So what time is everyone planning on getting there?
Parking is sometimes a problem at 7:30 because of Trivia game. Theres always lots of room in the lot but it's $5 to get out. I always check the gate on Smallman St and if it is broken, as many times it is, you can get out for free.
The point of all this rambeling being, if you want to come for the trivia game, be there before 7:30. If you want to come for the music, either came at 9:00 and be prepared to walk a half block or so or wait until about 9:30 when most of the trivia players leave. Parking will be better then.
I'll be playing until 1:00 and many people will be staying so there will be plenty of time to party.
I think I can make it if the weather doesnt ice up the roads, But could someone please give me a phisical address for my TomTom, I would greatly appreciate it. ;D

I look forward to seeing everyone!
Four of the five Sisters are coming (not the hairy one, but the rest of us!) and the three dancing Sisters are coming early for dinner and trivia. We look forward to seeing you all there.
Rafi and I had such a great time. We love seeing all of you so much. You guys rock!!!!! We hope to see you all again soon.

I second the sentiment. It was so nice to see everyone. We want to wish everyone the best holiday season ever.
WOW what a great way to celebrate the Christmas season and spirit. We had so much fun and it was great to see everyone and the black sheep and candles will never be the same. MERRY CHRISTMAS and the very best to everyone in 2009. Hope to see you all at the Harp on 1/2/09 for the next Seamus show. :-*
I too had a grand time it was good to see everyone again!
Don't know if I will be at the Seamus show or not yet.
Terry, Jan it was really cool to meet your son!!! Thanks for introducing me to him and Sabrina.
It was really great to see you all. Wasn't that an amazing gathering of faire folk! In addition to many "regulars" (you know who you are) it was great to see John and Holly, the N.B. Babes, Temujin, and so many of others.
I am privileged to call you my friends.
I wish you all happiness and peace.
A night to remember. I hope I never have to experience not having all of you around. Thanks just for being there and being who you are.
Have a happy Christmas. We'll see everybody in January either at Seamus' show or on the 15th when I play again or both.
Don't you just love the way we can stretch our faire out over the entire year? I wonder if other rennies do that in other cities.
It was a nice evening. It's always great to spend time with you! We certainly know how to have fun like no one else! hahaha!
It was great having your son and sabrina there!
Everyone have a blessed and wonderful Christmas. See you again on the 2nd! :)
When I walked in I was WOW'ed at the turn out. Was so good to see everyone...
Merry Soltice, Happy Yule, Mery Christmas, Happy Hanukah etc.....And aJoyous New Year to all. See you in '09.
Terry, once again (as so often) you provided one of the warmest moments of the season for me. Hearing you and your son play and sing together was truly moving. It really is my fest family that's gotten me through this past few months. When I think back on 2008, it was all of you who were my greatest blessing by far.
Ath bhliain faoi mhaise!
