I hope the rest of the books are still made into movies with someone else, though (even though Prince Caspian wasn't very close to the book)! And I hope the same actors still act in The Voyage of the Dawn Treader. That would be sad if Lucy, Edmund, and Caspian were played by anyone other than Georgie, Skandar, and Ben (despite his acting leaving a bit to be desired).
I've been dragging my feet about seeing the movies. But I would really hate to see them switch characters and make drastic changes to future movies.
Well, I heard that partners were switched with the making of The Lord of the Rings and there was concern about them being made at all, but they happened, so hopefully these will too.
I like both the ones they've made so far, though Prince Caspian just as a movie, not a faithful presentation of the book, because it fails miserably in that aspect.
I'm sure someone will make it. It's going to make money for someone. So someone will surely pick it up.
Last I heard the breakup was caused by the owner of Walden Media and Dinsey growing apart, there was a financial caused falling out and the entire filming of Prince Caspian was very tense for everyone. Apparently the front runner for picking up the rights is 20th Century Fox. Either way it looks as if its gonna be made, luckily the kids aren't really in the series beyond this point, but will they get the same adults from the first movie? who knows
