I am purchasing a corset because I know from experience that all the bodices that I have to fit over a corset last a lot longer. I was wondering which I should buy a basic untabbed corset from. www.fashionsintime.com or www.verymerryseamstress.org.
Any advice or past experiences that you could share would be wonderful.
Thanks,
Alyssa
Very Merry Seamstress is great, and a pleasure to work with! Plus, she has a variety of corset styles which is a plus! I also recommend Castle Garden Creations. I bought a corset from them a couple of years ago and I still love it, I just wish it had tabs. :) Hope that helps!
oh and one more place I've been looking into for a corset..http://www.bymaurita.com/page8.html
would love your opinions

this is the correct link for the first posting.
I've done business with Maurita, and so have some other people, and we've all been horridly disappointed. Orders take forever, and in order to get even part of the order I paid for I had to threaten legal action, never did get the rest of it. When it did arrive, it didn't match the measurements I sent At All, it was 4 inches too long in the bodice, so of course it didn't close over My BUTT!
I need it completely taken apart and remade, there's enough fabric to do that, however someone else will have to do it 'cause I can't mark it while wearing it, and it's back-lace of course.
Stick with Very Merry, as I think I'll be doing as well.
Thanks for the information, I really want to be careful who I buy from.
I like many would suggest Heather from www.verymerryseamstress.com (http://www.verymerryseamstress.com)
I have the cheaper corset and it's wonderful. I plan on getting a full tabbed one this year.
I'd suggest Very Merry Seamstress
You really can't go wrong with Heather from Very Merry Seamstress. She makes wonderful garments, has great customer service, and her quality is top notch. I *highly* recommend her. :)
