Post by: raevyncait on January 11, 2009, 09:35:14 PM
Apologies if it's already been posted
North TX Irish Festival March 6, 7 & 8 2009, Fair Park in Dallas

OK, it's early yet, but the website is up with at least partial information:

http://www.ntif.org/

Lots of great acts this year, including:
The(Scottish) Rogues
Clandestine
Needfire
Seven Nations
Ed Miller
Jiggernaut
Four Men and a Dog
Barra MacNeills
Amberhawke
Arabesque
Beyond the Pale
Loescher & Kenneth
Poor Mans Fortune
Trinity River Whalers
Tullamore

So North TX Wenches, Rogues and various & sundry Rennies, mark your calendars for March 6-8, 2009, I'll be there all weekend.
Go figure, The Rogues are there, I know it comes as a shock to everyone that I'll be there

Me and my clann will DEFINITELY be attending this.

-I assume weaponry is not allowed?
-Do many other people go in garb?

As I don't generally carry weapons, I don't know for sure, but it seems like the people I know who usually do, leave theirs at home for this festival.

I saw LOTS of folks in garb last year.  As I'm going out all 3 days, and Friday will be directly from work, I won't be garbed that evening, but Saturday and Sunday I will be for sure.

I'm tentatively planning to go, but won't know for sure until I know how a few Mundane issues settle out.

Its almost guaranteed that I'll be making the trip out to NTIF this year, as I have never been and was unable to last year.
And it makes me very very happy that there will be plenty of people in garb!
