I see men wearing favors on their arms like this one (guy on far right)...

Is this something that a woman would wear as well? For what reason? Thanks!
The only reason a lady would have this kind of favor would be to pass along to her gentleman.
Many ladies wear a "favor sash" off their belts that is embroidered, with jewels and trinkets pinned to it.
Hope this helps,
Capt Marga

That does help! Do you happen to have a pic of a sash? Thanks!

Her R/F pin is at the bottom on the right.
WOW! Now that's a sash!
Would the "favors" be things that other people gave her? What is the purpose (besides just showing off!)?
Favors are given to you by others as a small reminder of them. People spend much time and effort making them and present them to people they care about at faire.

Perfect! Thanks!
I used to give simple ribbon favors as a child. I hadn't realized favors had taken on such detail and importance! Wow!
To a certain extent favours have been kind of a regional thing more common at some fairs than others. I think at MNRF they've been catching on more in the last 5, or so years.
