Title: Bracers, Schmitthenner.com
Post by: Manwariel on January 23, 2009, 09:27:29 PM
Has anyone ordered from http://www.schmitthenner.com/ or does anyone know anything about the site? I'm interested in purchasing their standard bracers. Are there are any other places you recommend buying bracers from (for under $40, S&H included)?

:)

Lass, you might want to check out Ravenswood Leather's stuff... my bracers were only $45 but they are sweet.

My son bought bracers from Excalibur Leather. He's had them about 10 or 11 years, and they look brand new.  He didn't wear them for a while, so I actually took one of them over and hang it from my belt and use it as a parasol holder.

My husband has an Excalibur leather Cavalier hat, and we have 2 or 3 of their pouches, again most are 10-11 years old and have held up well.  If I told you I bought the pouch last year, you would believe me, because it is in perfect condition still.

You can check their website.  I feel it isn't very impressive, but the items they have at the faire are beautiful.  You could always contact them if you don't see what you are looking for.  Hope this helps.

I would also recommend checking out The Inner Bailey (http://theinnerbailey.com/main.htm).

Harold is great to work with and makes a great product. I have a pair of the Man-at-Arms cuffs with buckled closures and love them. He has a wide selection of items at great prices, and does do custom work as well if requested.

Thank you for the suggestions. I ordered a sword frog from The Inner Bailey a while back and like it. I'm considering Ravenswood for the bracers. I e-mailed them with some questions. :)

Before you oder anything you should also try www.nightshadeleather.com The website stinks but Brent's work is absolutely amazing.  You can contact him through the site and ask about what you looking for.

I purchased the Ranger bracers... black leather with green leather highlights.  They fit like a glove and are very sturdy.  The kilt belt i got from them was top notch also.

I second ravenswood for bracers.  Good stuff for the money.
