Here in Houston there is a bust of the Scottish Bard Robert Burns (along with other notables) in the rose garden of Hermann Park, our big downtown park and rec area. The bust was erected by the Houston Heather and Thistle Society 5 years ago, and they have a ceremony there on the Sunday following their Burns Supper. This year was the 250th anniversary of Burns' birth.

That's ol'Zardoz towards the right with the walking stick.
Have you seen this? I just saw this commercial on tv yesterday. Thought you might like it. (Just about anything's good with Sean Connery in it!)

That was a nice commercial! I would LOVE to visit Scotland!
Huzzah to Robbie Burns!
Amen, Scotland is awesome, I've been there three times! Once on tour with a band for three weeks in '89 and twice for business for a week at a shot a few years ago. I hope to go back again, with more time in hand.
