As I just panned the webcam over the Faire, I could swear I could hear the sounds of people clinking mugs and hailing each other.
Even though the trees are bare and the grass isn't so green, there is still a lifeforce present.
Looking forward to the 2009 season.
shhh!
listen...
Huzzah!
I know Lord A is sometimes there!
There is always someone there standing watch until we return each season. I have been out there when there was no one else in the park but I knew I wasn't alone.

www.dragonsquest.com
It's the MIL website.
Likely as not, my husband's one of them.... ;D
My building is hainted. Several have claimed to have seen gheisties. The building was built on the site of a hospital and not far from several cemeteries. As far as I'm concerned the ghouls still have to wait in line in the cafeteria.
I certainly hope that Lenny is out there. I'd like to think he helped keep an eye on our shop during the Hurricane. We didn't have a scratch!
I also hope that Bill Sanders is there as well as Leon.
Oh, Leon is there. Believe me, Leon is there.

I can't go past Lenny's Bardo without thinking about him. That's where I think he'd be. Course it's right next to your shop so it makes sense he would keep an eye on it for you.
I KNOW without a doubt that Lady Peacock hangs out sometimes to give chills the would be chainmaille thieves. Whenever I passed by the shop, I just instinctively feel her toothless smile goading me to cheer up and smile at the mundanes, no matter my previous mood. And in the off season, I imagine she is stirring up the dust and muttering about how her paint needs a touch-ups and you just can't get good help these days to keep up with the little things.
Gwen, you look a little fuzzy there. How do we know that you aren't an apparition?

LOL-- I guess technically I might be. I've moved to Louisiana and I really really miss my faire friends from TRF!! I wouldn't be surprised if bits of me went walking the fairegrounds in the wee hours when my corporeal body is sleeping.
Honestly though, the pic is fuzzy because it's a photo that was taken VERY small and probably with a lower quality camera almost 10 years ago- I only have it because I found posted on a forum where I had put it up way back before that harddrive crashed. SO, it's a copy of a copy of a copy, sort of.

Well Liam helped to put his ashes there too. We were so honored to be a part of it. Trust me....I freak out every time I see Lenny's brother too. He -just- sounds like him. A lot. So I always double take.
While I have no doubt there are spirits wandering the faire, I have never felt any sense of malice out there (though, granted, that genetic code runs far stronger in the women in my family... us males just get "spidey sense", nothing more), so I think that some of the old-timers who have gone back to their ancestors drop in to visit and see what their favorite haunts (no pun intended) are looking like these days.
Man ya'll are giving me the wants...Spirited areas always give me a thrill to the bone!
It really does just make sense... for so many of us, Faire is where we are most at ease- our happiest times are there, and typically one faire or another- for example, I am sure there are some old rennies haunting the OLD Excal site- I miss that site dearly! I think many of us may go on as 'guardians of the faire'
If i had to haunt somewhere, TRF would be it.

Do you live in the new building where the Jefferson Davis hospital used to be in Houston TX?

They are now called the Elder St. Lofts. I've been in it since the renovations and it's nice, different but nice. People living there are a bit protective of having ghost hunters come there. I knew some one that lived there and he used to have figurines that would move or be knocked over by themselves.
So are the cams offline today, or am I missing the correct plugin for Firefox on Linux?

YES! Excellent inductive reasoning.

WOW......... that place is super hunted.... I know because I wrote a paper on it in college and did a late night tour with a group. Yea I know that's lame but I was in college so don't judge me :P We went on halloween night had a seance and everything the whole nine. NOt joking at all papers started swirling around in the air and then this very loud screaming from the room we were in started and wouldn't stop and sent us all running and screaming out of there. "One of the guys had a panick attack and passed out once we were out of the building . Later at the hospital he told us he saw a woman in that room with cuts all over her body and she was the one screaming, none of the rest of us saw her but we all heard her screaming. There was once a documentary on the discovery channel about that place and there is tons of stuff online about it.
