For those of you that do hair wraps, where do you buy the end cap for the end of the wrap (that you hook the jewelry to)?
I've looked online but haven't found anything that looks like what was on the ones I had made at faire. I have seen similar items called end caps, round/square prong end cap, crimp end, etc.
I put a wrap in my hair this weekend but the end cap I have is side ways and is big enough to crimp on only half of the wrap. It doesn't hold well.
Thanks!
I guess I'm not understanding what you are calling an end cap, so unfortunately I cant help you.
ok from what i understand about hair wraps, if you want to be able to attach a charm you just attach one of these at the bottom before, but i don't know the process that you are using for wrapping but from the one i read you attach the charm at the bottom so if i wanted to be able to change the charm i would use this at the bottom. and these they carry them at walmart, joanns, and michaels just to name a few

What I am looking for is the crimp that goes on the end before the clasp. This is what I am using now but it doesn't hold well.

I am looking for something like this, just not in sterling silver. It's the only one I've been able to find. It may go by another name.

Print a copy of the picture & take it w/you to Michael's & Hobby Lobby. They may have something like this where the jewelry cording and findings aisle.

I was about to recommend firemountain also.
I used to buy from them a lot before I started buying wholesale at trade shows.
They are a good company to buy from, and they usually include a little gift with every order and I always found shipping to be speedy.

Thanks, but I didn't see what I was looking for. I'll just keep looking. ;)
You know, I'm thinking I've seen those little connectors on electrical wires. You might want to check out Lowes & Home Depot.
What about large crimp beads? http://www.artbeads.com/silver-components-crimp-tubes--beads-and-ends.html
I found this link on how to do it.... http://home.howstuffworks.com/girls-hair-wraps.htm
I'm going to several stores tomorrow. I'll see what I can find! ;D
When I used to do it, we didn't use crimp beads. We tied the loose ribbons to a lobster claw. Then you can put whatever dangles you want on the lobster claw clip. The advantage here, is that you can change out the dangles whenever you want to.
I attach the claw to the end of the crimp. It's the crimp I am having difficulty locating. ::)
How did you tie off the end of the thread so it didn't unravel? That might solve all of my problems. Thanks! ;D

E600 Craft Glue. Just make sure that you wrap a little bit PAST the hair, so that no glue gets on the hair.
Thanks!
