Title: Rogue's Gallery Pirate Ballads, Sea Songs, & Chanteys
Post by: winterland on January 29, 2009, 12:22:48 AM
Being I work in a recording studio everyday I get exposed to many CDs I wouldn't know about. A client brought this in knowing me and my tastes. It is an album as titled, full of bawdy pirate songs peformed by various artists such as Baby Gramps, Nick Cave, Richard Thompson etc.
It was produced by Gore Verbinski and Johnny Depp.
I could see fellow Renny's liking this double CD. It is not for kids. Some of the lyrics are obscene and there are some strange songs and sounds on it. Overall I like it.
Here is some info about it on allmusic.
