Title: Wish me luck!
Post by: Adriana Rose on March 10, 2009, 04:17:44 PM
I am on the brink of making a bodice! The monster is asleep with mom and I have worked up the nerve to do it!

So wish me luck!

I made one this weekend - my 2nd - and it turned out amazingly well.  Take your time, trim the seams, & post pix!

All was going very well.... then I ran over a piece of of my zip tie boning and I snapped the needle and then I snapped the bolt that holds the needle set up to the machine... :-\  And the closest repair shop is in Denver thats 3 hours away....

But I did find a way to get boning casing in a pinch!! Use an old sheet and use the hem part! It works like a dream!

Well, heck - those bones can sure play hell on a sewing machine.  Can you get a part mailed to you from the manufacturer?  Even if you have to wait, it might beat 2 six hour drives.
