I am making a full size gibbet ( cage to keep prisoner or dead body in for extended periods) from scratch from
5/16 round stock.  Any one have any plans or know where I might get some?

				K' I guess not.
I've made all the hoop halves and forged hinge eyes to the ends.  5 hoops in total.  Foot, knees, hip, shoulder and head.  Next - make the hinge pin and start to weld the halves from the ground up.

Half of the cage almost complete - vertical bars all bent to shape and 4 out of 5 welded up.
Man I am getting an education on welding!  My boss wants to know what it is.  I told him its a frame for a go kart racer. LOL

Lookin forward to the pics, of course! :)

M'Lady Catalina,  thanks but that is of paper and the one I am attempting is steel.
I was hoping to see how one gets an actual person into it.  For lack of a better idea, I have made mine to open like a iron maiden or a clam shell.
Later today, top ring and hanging supports.

				something like this? (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Fomfr_cage.jpg)
It seems that a real life gibbet was often riveted around the condemned individual. The idea being a one way trip did not need fancy release mechanisms such as hinges or doors.
