Title: The Frugal Corner (kilt store in Anoka)
Post by: Willum Povy on March 24, 2009, 11:12:23 AM
Hey everyone!  I went and spent a lot of money at the frugal corner the other day!  But I got to talking to the owner and he's moving the shop out to Pennsylvania in April.  So April 26th will be his very last day open for business in Anoka.  I know a lot of other folks on the forums also go there so I told him I'd post this.  So if you're wanting to get your kilt on I suggest you do it before he's gone and we go back to having to pay high shippping prices!

Or you can just go there to wish him luck nonetheless!

Thank you for the heads-up, Willum.  I need to pick up a matching piece to VV's kilt.  Will get out there ASAP.

Good to see you!!

I got an email from him. That sucks, I thought the store was doing well. I will have to stop by this week.

Huh...  They're still listed as vendors at the Scottish Fair in May.

That might just be because they were there last year

Any clearance specials beyond their normal low prices?

There were a few kilts made with fabric from a new vendor he had tried out, we got a pretty good price on that one.  There is a much wider selection available in the store than I could find on the site. On the website the tartans we bought were listed as out of stock - now that just may be to encourage people to call.  We picked up two kilts and a new sporran.

Tell him he's moving in the wrong direction. We need a place like that out here in AZ. I've already converted one guy at the bar to wear a kilt.  The interesting part of it, is the bar is a biker bar.
