Title: TRF Auditions
Post by: FaeHollow on March 26, 2009, 03:47:47 PM
Hey guys!

I am a theatre major at SHSU and want to audition for the TRF 2009 Season. I have read the audition information on the website but I would like to know more about what auditions are like so i can be fully prepared to do a great job! What should I bring, wear, prepare. Are there certain TYPES they are looking for typically? ANY information and personal experience stories are appreciated! :D
Thank you!
Leigh

Wear something comfortable.  Don't come in costume.  Be prepared to do improv games.  Do not be afraid make big, bold choices.  Do not be afraid to make a fool of youself.  You won't.  All types are looked at and needed.
Honestly, they are usually a lot of fun.  I think the problem most people have are that they are nervous that they will look silly.    If you have a theater resume, bring it.

Do we need to bring an arsenal of accents?

If you have an arsenal, then it's always good to let them know and be prepared to demonstrate.
