For Scarby with it's hot weather.
I have a Maresca one of the half ones that stop right under the chest. What kinda top do you think I should wear with it. I am about 5 months along.
Should I show my belly? or Should I hide it away?
What kinda of outfits do you suggest?
I was thinking a nice flowy skirt and my Maresca plus top.
When a friend of mine was expecting during faire season, I made her a simple Irish style gown that she wore over a chemise. Best thing TheLadyKat for you is to be totally comfy.
Just wear your normal chemise, its comfy... Or a nice pair of bloomers or harem pants with the bodice and chemise..
For showing your tummy that is up to you.
I wear stuff like that on hot days and I am not pregant! lol its just comfy
I would hide your belly only for baby safety reasons. But in the end it is up to you.
I agree with the others on what to wear. Something comfy.
You might want to try an Italian style gown or an Elizabethan loose gown. Both are fairly easy to make and many vendors sell the Italian style. I, personally, would not show the belly because well, what if you get burned there? Sunburns are NOT fun and even less fun on tummies.
Well I am ready for the sun I have sun block and I will be puttint it on every few hours due to the fat that I got burned last year on opening weekend of Scarby. I am still not sure about if I want to cover the belly or not. I am looking at what we pack and I am going to see what still fits and feel good to wear. I always showed my tummy when it was hot it just felt better that way a little cooler that's just me I want to be comfy and cool. I want to thank you for your input it does help.
I could totally see you rocking the bare pregnant belly. I've seen the moresca bodice with either a short chemise or or their split front chemise. I also see the Jiva silk outfits on the belly baring pregnant women too.
Well not having any money for anything new guess I will have to rock the mommy belly with what ever I have in the bag. Thank's
What size are you? I do believe the over dress I made for my friend is still in the trunks, if you want it, it's yours, just ren mail me your address to mail it to.
thank you. may I ask what kinda of dress it is and what it looks like?
It's nothing fancy, just a cotton overdress that laces on the sides and front. Let me see if I can find a picture of it this evening and send it to you. It's reversible too, the colors are a deep burgundy solid, and a paisley that has burgundy, gold, green, black and some red in it. Really pretty fabric. She never wore it due to complications, ended up not attending the faire that year at all. Like I said, it's yours if you want it. No catch, happy to have the trunk space :)
Why do I always think of this portrait when garb when pregnant is mentioned?:

Okay found the pic, now it's not the best pic LOL It only shows the burgundy side, and like I said it's nothing fancy, but it would be comfy. (http://i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa313/LOTOT/Kristi.jpg)

I always loved this painting. Something about the mirror in the background....
