Title: New Tudor Tailor book preorder
Post by: Tixi on April 02, 2009, 07:48:51 AM
Preface: I have no affiliation with the parties mentioned in this post

For those of you who have not already heard, the good people at The Tudor Tailor have listed their next book for preorder on their website.

The King's Servants: Men's dress at the accession of Henry VIII

Thought I'd pass on this news - Sorry if this is a duplicate of a post I missed.

Another must have book!!  I am rewatching  on DVD...'The Six Wives of Henry VIII'. There is a bevy of costuming in that series that is fetching be it Royal, Noble, or Servant.

I think that will have to go on the Wish List, as I've spent waaaaaay too much on books since Christmas!

I have it on pre order and hopefully will have the next selection Stuart Tudor on as well.  The ladies of Tudor Tailor are on their own this time and so it is really needed that we prove to them, we want these books!  Now if we can only get Jean Hunnisett's last book published!

Man, another book I'll be getting for my friend for her birthday then, looking at it longingly as I wrap it up, buy one for myself.  (This is EXACTLY what I did with Tudor Tailor!)

Ron would have loved this book. I do not know if I will get it as he was the tailor not me. I will make an attempt to make myself something but even if I succeed I dont think I shall be making men's clothes. So I guess it will go on the wish list for now....
