Title: The Blonde Swan..
Post by: Maeve McMayhem on April 08, 2009, 11:39:09 AM
I've been eyeballing a hat on the Blonde Swan's website.. but I noticed the homepage makes mention of a 2006 catalogue and though it says they accept online orders, I haven't heard a word back from my emailed question to them a couple weeks ago.

Does anyone know if the are still in business via website? I'd hate to pay money for a hat and have nothing to show for it! Just a question, not a complaint.. if they are still doing business, I'll be right on ordering the hat I've been dreaming over!  ;D

Thanks!

I'd email them or check their schedules. Their catalog says 2006 but they pretty much have the same hats (at least they did back in October). Usually they get back later if they happen to be doing a faire.

And you know my hat, chica? That's a Blonde Swan. I lurf it. ;)

The one in your picture is? I looove it. I think that's probably the same hat I was drooling over!  ;D It's fabulously beautiful! Thanks, Faye! I'll email them again in a few days if I've not heard anything back.

You could try them through their Etsy shop as well.

I love the Blonde Swan - I was so happy when they got a booth at MIRF.

Who me?!?    ;D

I am getting my hand on one of their new suede flat caps when MIRF rolls around.  They sell for $85 and look FANTASTIC!!

Elisabeth and her husband do fabulous work - the hat that I am wearing in my avatar is Blonde Swan.

Ooh I did not know they had an Etsy shop.

I can definitely recommend Blonde Swan, though. My brother, my sister, me, and several other R/Fers that hit up ORF all have leather hats from them. Whenever a friend says they need a hat at ORF that's where I send them!

Oh my gosh! I love that hat. So cute in blue.  :) :) :)

Maeve, I too highly recomend Blonde Swan. I'm wearing the Elizabethan Riding hat in my pic. They are a dream to work with. You can choose from a hugh selection of colors, add a buckle, choose your feathers. Whatever you wish. If you don't see exactly what you want wait till you can speak with her.

Order- Blonde Swan is a great company to work with. Their people are very knowledgeable and will help you find the hat you need to work with your outfit. I personally bought a plain wool felt stetson from them last year for a very reasonable $25 which helped me survive the MiRF deluge of 2008.

Maeve, you won't be disappointed! I have two Blonde Swan hats, and they're worth every penny I spent for them. They do excellent work, and your new hat may very well become a favorite item in your garb closet!

I was drooling over their riding hat last year, but never managed to get the money to buy it.  I fully intend to have one by the end of ORF this year.  They are really excellent.  Of course, looking at their site, I'm going "Oooh, I also want that one and that one and that one."  xD
