Title: Vendor Advice
Post by: Celtic_Fae on April 10, 2009, 09:31:53 PM
Has anyone ever bought anything from Midnight Breeze Designs before? Before I make a purchase from them, I want to know if it's safe and worth it.

I've never heard of them before your post, but their website says they're out of Texas.  Maybe some folks from that area can weigh in, or you can do a google search by their name to see if anyone in any other Renn forums has had a problem with them.

ETA: I just did a quickie search on Ebay and found this (http://feedback.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewFeedback2&userid=midnightbreezedesigns&ftab=AllFeedback).  I don't know if it's the same designer, but it's the same store name.

HTH & good luck!

Yep that's the same lady. She does great work but just be sure you have PLENTY of time before your event. :) She normally runs on an 8 week schedule but sometimes things come up. I'm actually waiting on my brother's ensemble to get in any day now. Must add beads! Lol :)

My dress was from her last year. I loved the dress! but, as stated, she was VERY slow to get to it. I gave her two months, and my date was pushed back twice.

As well, unless she has changed it, the phone number on her site is not in service, I was skittish about e-baying anything from her until I spoke to her in person.

You can see the work on my myspace, which is linked in my profile. go to my pics> ren faire. It is gold and black. I did all the beadwork myself, though!

good luck!

Thanks for the info.  I've been looking at her coats for my evil twin.  Guess if I order now, I could have one for TRF (which is fine - it's way too warm to wear a coat to Scarby's pirate weekend).
