I'm in good shape...tried to go to work about 4:30am...got just outside the gates and turned around and went back inside...couldn't see the sidewalks for the water.

Since I'm on the south-side, I was fine this morning.  We had a swamp in our backyard but no flooding in the area.

However, in the flooding a week ago, I got 2 inches of water in my new corolla when we got caught in the flooding in the League City area.  Thankfully my car didn't stall and has finally dried out! :P

Hi, Blue!  All's well here.  We had quite a bit of street flooding overnight - about 1/2 way up the car tires and over the curb, but it was almost gone by about 7 am when I took my Pom out for a walk.  How about you? Dry?

I'm dry and at work, had to fight the evil beltway closures this morning. I-10 and BW8 were underwater on the feeder roads, like, at least 16 feet of water. The damn intersection completely submerges every single time we get water. WHY IN HELL DID THEY BUILD IT THAT LOW?????

Extra drainage in high rain situations?
BTW Other than a shortage of buses, I had no trouble getting to work this morning. Being inside the loop has certain advantages.

The lake that connected my yard to the neighbors across the street went down before the sun came up.  But I'm lucky that I don't live in a high flood area anymore.

All is well here.... for now.  Water was high coming down 249 from Magnolia into North Houston.  Spring Creek is high.  More heavy storms in the forecast for our area today >:(.  Hopefully I won't be sleeping at my desk this evening!  ::)

Yeah, like being the first to drown when Buffalo or White Oak Bayou decide that they want to RISE!!

Gulb Gulb!
I'm fine here...no flodding at the house when I left at 6am.  Took forever to get to work...drove through the flooding at West Rd. and 290, though I probably shouldn't have...small cars were already flooded out.  Waited 30 minutes for a bus at the P&R, then decided to drive in.  Picked up riders (turns out 3 co-workers) and headed down the HOV.  No problems.

I have a feeling people may start heading home earlier today, but I'm going to get in touch with the people who rode in with me and see when they are available.  I needs 'dem bodies to ride in the HOV...they frown on that blow-up doll.

My whole street got flooded up to the middle of our drive way LAST week and destroyed the engine in my mini... had to have it replaced.  However, it's completely dry in my neighborhood this morning and though it rained last night, it didn't flood at all!!

We are dry.  I had a hard time getting home last night. I went through water that was almost too high for my truck. Woke up early and watched the news, called and woke the boss at 5:45 and told him I wasn't coming and some one else would have to open and call of work.

Went to bed early (9 PM) when I lost power. Both dogs stuck close to me in bed during the thunder and lightening. Woke up 1 AM and saw power restored, so had to reprogram alarm clock. Back to sleep. Woke up around 8 AM since power was out again. Maybe I should get that wind-up alarm clock I have needed for about 20 years. 2 hours late to work.

No flooding down here in Pearland, but Clear Creek is pretty full, along with the various storm drains, so tonight's rain fall should prove interesting.

Nothing like when Allison hit.

I'm glad I'm way up here in Kilgore! I spoke with the sis next door to me, and the weather knocked power out yesterday in the Heights, and is still down as of this morning. She said the water was up to the tires on vehicles in the driveway, but no real damages. Luckily the houses are well above any flood threat!

Stay dry y'all!

I was trapped in my part of the subdivision by steet flooding till about Noon,(my car sits like 4 inches off the ground  ::) ) but made it to work and back after that with no issues. Everyone at work is OK, but we had about 4 co workers who could not get out of their homes today.

We are still trapped here in Cypress, there are little rivers all over the place so deep we can't drive out of our neighborhood. My sisters boy did not have to go to school cause it was closed but even if it where not he still would not have been able to go. Jacob had to turn around and come back home he only got a few blocks away before he had no place to go there is only one way out  of our neighborhood.

We had a nice day anyways.

No problems here.  The sidewalk in front flooded, and the ditch between that and the street had water in it for the first time since we moved in, but nothing in the house.  Left for work about 6:15 AM yesterday and ran into a bit of minor street flooding getting out of The Heights and then one patch of high water on I-45 (not too deep to get through easily in my Saturn).  Our part of The Heights did not lose power.

I live in Copperfield which was near the brunt of the storm.  They calculate we got 10-12 inches of rain but I don't know for sure as my gauge overflowed after 5 inches.  I couldn't get out of my subdivision yesterday but the house was high and dry.  Probably because every year I pay for flood insurance (if you have it, you won't need it).  Today was no problem at all.
