I just got some fabulous news so I had to share it with all y'all.
I'M GOING TO NEW ZEALAND!!
I've been trying for the last few weeks to find a high school down there that will sponsor me for a few terms while I do my student teaching. After a few communications with a school in Auckland, I got an e-mail today from the principal asking me to come. I'm beyond excited! I'll be there from July - December 2010; they do full-year schooling down there with 3 week holidays in between each 12 week segment.
Anyway. I was just so excited I had to share with my fairemily! ;D
I hope you don't get any headaches walking around upside down for 6 months.... Oh.. and buy an air mattress... I'm coming too....... :D
Congratulations honey! We will miss you at faire that year.
Can you stuff me in your bags? I wanna go :(
But on a series note, Congrats and best of luck
Congratulations! :)
That is so exciting, congrats!!
Congratulations and Good Job!!
Crikey!! (oops, wrong island?) Huzzah Zoe!! Wishing you much success.
I'll send everyone pictures when I'm romping around Rohan -- uh, I mean, the South Island!
Grrrrrr. Arrrrrrggggg. I hate you.
oh and Congrats.
I expect pictures of Kiwi Fruit and Kiwis side by side. And I hate you too. How do you get to do that? I want. *pout*
(Actually, I want to teach anywhere but here at the moment.)
yay for You!
There will be pictures aplenty, I promise you! And I hope to do video blogs while I am there as well.
I pretty much decided I wanted to do it, so I got in touch with the head of the education department at my school, then I e-mailed about 25 schools around New Zealand, and I got responses from a few, and pursued the serious ones. This one in particular asked for a letter of rec, I got one and sent it, and voila!
Now the waiting begins...oh, torture!
GASP!!!
Im so excited for you/jealous of you!
That is such a cool oppourtunity. My aunts got to do that very same thing...well just about anyway. (different profession) But YAY! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
You need to visit the shire when your there. I thought I heard somewhere they actually kept some of the hobbit holes up, but I could be wrong.
Oh indeed. I plan on making a trip down to the South Island during my 3-week holiday in September/October and visiting whatever LoTR sites are still there. Can't wait for that.
