Rats, would have liked to have seen it again.  Right up there with the "Sea Hawks", two movies deserving of a modern re-make in my opinion!

Which leads to this question: Who is a worthy successor to Errol?

It must be  the  weekend  for  movies  about ships, and  ship captains  and  pirates.
Last night they had " Mutiny  on the  Bounty "  with Clark Gable.
     "  Mister  Christen !! "  ;D

Hugh Jackman would have the intelligence, sly sense of humor & physique to make a fine Captain Blood.

I don't know ever modern remake I've seen in the last ten years have been very disappointing.   It seems the people making them miss what was important in making the orginal so powerful.
